Just hopped back into FFVIII after a long hiatus - I just did the train job, which was quite fun, although a bit easier/less intense than when I was, y'know, 12.

Hmm, it's looking like I may have a bit more time left before the Summer Challenge starts, so yesterday I copied over my old save file for Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader from my laptop. I was in England when I quit playing, and now I think it's time to find out if I can make it through to the end. I still have the desert to go, and supposedly that is the crucible where you discover if your build really is combat viable, so we'll have to see if I can do this.

I started Persona 3 a while ago and got a little bored with it, so I decided to take a break from it.

I received and started Dragon Quest IX early last week and can't seem to put it down. In what was probably a series of impulse buys, I now have V and VI sitting on my shelf and IV coming in the mail tomorrow. I don't know if I'll get back to Persona 3!

Been alternating between two PSP games, Brandish and Grand Knights History. I've talked plenty about Brandish and it's still holding up, I'm still working my way through it floor by floor.

Grand Knights History so far is a very fun game. It has two main modes, story and war. Story allows you to create four knights and choose a kingdom to represent, and then take on quests within that kingdom until you reach the final boss and finish that mode. War lets you take your knights from story and put them into an online battle mode where you fight other players for continental domination not unlike Risk. Obviously I'm playing story mode. Story mode is plenty fun, it's kind of like a board game mixed with tactical combat and has the leveling minutiae I find so compelling. If anyone around here has a PSP with CFW, I definitely recommend playing the English fan translation (V1.16) of Grand Knights History.

Setting aside everything and going all-in on EarthBound, one more time. I love how every single aspect of this game is unpredictable, from the music, dialog, graphics, etc. Never a dull moment
