So I originally had my systems hooked up to a 32' Sony WEGA with standard cables. Since I moved I no longer have a spare bedroom for the CRT setup. I will post pictures of the original set up later. Now I have my systems hooked up to a 55" Samsung 4K. I am running SCART to HDMI converters for everything that can use SCART. I am also using an HDMI selector. I am running a Behar Bros Hanzo VGA box to a VGA to HDMI converter for my Dreamcast. Will post more pictures of games and such soon. The picture is before I had hooked back up all the wired and selector boxes. The shelves are from Target. They are actually shoe shelves. I only had so much space to work with and don't have time to build my own like I normally do. I would like to figure out a way to prevent the boards from sagging slightly though. Enjoy!

Re: Game Room Upconvert
See link to Target shelves below. They make them in 24" length and 31" length. You can use the middle shelf or not use it. You cannot use the middle shelf for some systems. Genesis with 32x is too tall.

Re: Game Room Upconvert
Went and bought one of the 31 inch shelves at Target today, works great on my L shaped desk!
Now my consoles have more room to breathe and dont have to stand upright, except for the Wii and Wii U.
Need to get a HDMI Switch, only have 3 HDMI inputs on TV, have DVR on one of the HDMI inputs which is on the other side of the TV.

To be honest, do you really trust your TV on a piece of particle board? It might seem like a practical solution, but it doesn't really offer you the peace of mind if that particle board bows or gives altogether.
Edit: Looks like you wall-mounted your TV. Cause for concern diminished!

Yea. I don't really like the bowing or how it fits my systems, but I have soooo many constraints in my current space (height, AC & alarm panels on wall, etc.)Blu wrote:To be honest, do you really trust your TV on a piece of particle board? I really like your setup, OP, but how do you keep from dusting everyday? I have carpet(and teenagers) so general game room traffic causes me so many problems.
