Maybe not Silent Hills per se, but yeah.
Friendly warning, get it while you can.
All things considered with the Konami/Kojima shenanigans going on, this may very well be the last time it'll ever be obtainable.
Any bets on if Silent Hills even happens now? I doubt it. With them axing Kojima productions and frankly, most signs right now are pointing to Konami just flat out leaving the console business in general.

I would imagine Konami owns that Fox Engine Kojima Productions put so much time into. It wouldn't make sense to not release products using it to recoup costs.

Guillermo del Toro says it's not happening.

That sounds really out of context and i can't find the interview where this came from. Could mean "the game is cancelled" or "im not working with konami anymore" or "that name is awful is not going to happen"Xeogred wrote:

I'm glad I downloaded it when I did.
This is really disappointing. Silent Hill was my most anticipated game, besides MGSV. It really looked like it was going to be something special.

So is it down from the servers (ie those who have it on their accounts can not re-download it) or are people just not able to "purchase" it anymore?

I still don't understand how it was a candidate to be cancelled when they'd come this far with it. del Toro backing out I can understand. He's got a ton of clout and can do any given project at any time, and it never seemed like that part of it was set in stone to me. Other than that I don't get how you can sign on Norman Reedus, get him in a mo cap situation, and produce a half hour of the game only to cancel it. Does anyone know exactly what the problem was?
I guess it happens all the time (Duke Nukem anyone?) but they were very proactive in showing this off and getting people excited even though it was a year or two away. I don't get it.

Both, can't re-download or purchase it. When it's not being hosted anymore it's gone for good unless you have it installed before removal.emwearz wrote:So is it down from the servers (ie those who have it on their accounts can not re-download it) or are people just not able to "purchase" it anymore?
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
