My top 5 taken from Steam:

Team Fortress 2: 1045 hours

Counter Strike Global Offensive: 999.9 hours (I like how close I am to 1000)

Counter Strike Source: 188 hours

Kerbal Space Program: 131 hours

TrackMania United: 88 hours

I'd wager I have about 200 hours in the now-defunct SilkRoad Online. Probably close to 500 or so in World of Warcraft. Probably close to that in the original Halo's PC online multiplayer too.

Ya lightweights. 8)

Edit: I've got a lot of other high ones I can think of especially on Wii U and PS3 but they're still nothing compared to those really. I rarely spend more than 50 hours in a game.

My two highest would be TFC and Mario Kart 64, but those were not tracked since TFC was on Gamespy Arcade and lan, before the birth of steam. TFC is easily over 5000 hours since I played about 4 hours a day for the four years of college (far more in the first two years than the last).

But according to Steam my top 5 are:
Terraria - 192.1 hours
Borderlands 2 - 158.3 hours
Left 4 Dead 2 - 120.7 hours
Killing Floor - 69.5 hours
Talisman Digital - 55.6 hours

Terraria I got into after the first patch, before there were maps or map editors. And have sunk time into it every major patch. It also helps that while dating, my wife liked to get on skype and play it with me until she fell asleep - dual monitors are just awesome.

The others are pretty self explanatory.

Let's see the only game that now has a counter...

Pokemon Y: 181 hours with 35 minutes... about half of that is running in circles to hatch eggs.

I can tell you i had more than 100 hours into minecraft, Fallout 3, Warcraft 3, Age of empires 2... the last two i should have more than 200 since i replayed them so many times i lost count.

Also let's see how long to beat says it takes 25 1/2 hours to complete RE4, lets round that up to 25 since i have played that 1 on gamecube, 3 times on PS2, 1 time on PC and unlocked all the extras each time and that gives about 125 hours put into RE4. Maybe more because i think i played more times on PC and PS2 but i can't remember the exact amount of times i re played it.

Smash Bros Brawl and Smash Bros Melee are both at around 300+ hours each from memory. I've played Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Fire Emblem, Tales of Symphonia and most Pokemon games through so many times that I'd estimate about 500 hours or more on all of them.

I don't play games so obsessively now, and when I do it's normally split over more games than when I was a kid. That said, Project DIVA F and Project DIVA F 2nd both have about 150 hours on them each, over the course of only a year for the first, and 6 months for the 2nd.

A lot of the games from my childhood are more or less the same, several hundred hours in Melee and Brawl over the years. I remember nearly 300 hours in Pokemon Emerald, over 120 in Diamond, 50 in Platinum and 60 in Soul Silver. I've played through each of Colosseum and XD over five times apiece, at around 15-25 hours each, call it 20, for 200 combined hours.

Fallout 3 over two playthroughs, have about 100 hours there, New Vegas over 70. As for other RPG's, I've logged over 150 over three partial playthroughs of FFXIII, over 100 between both releases of Skies of Arcadia, and I think over 150 hours in Paper Mario, with 100 in Paper Mario: TTYD.

These are all just ballpark ranges, I've never actually kept track unless the game kept track for me.

Mine from Steam is:

Deus Ex: HR - 42 hours (this seems like way higher than it should be)
The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings - 41 hours
Dragon Age: Origins - 36 hours
Deus Ex: HR: The Missing Link - 29 hours (also way longer than this DLC takes to beat)
BioShock Infinite - 24 hours
The Walking Dead (S1) - 14.9 hours
Skyrim - 11.8 hours
Warhammer 40K Space Marine - 11.5
The Darkness II - 10.1 hours
The Swapper - 9.8 hours

Not sure why the Deus Ex ones are so bugged out, I don't think I left the launcher running or anything. My other thoughts are, that's a solid 10 games there, loved all of them, except Skyrim, which I didn't think I've even spent 11.8 hours in, but it may be from looking at mods. *shrug*

Outside of Steam the first two to come to mind are:
Oblivion (360) - ~125 hours
Persona 4 Golden (Vita) - ~118 hours

I just got obsessed with these games. I'm sure if I had a way of checking that Fire Emblem for 3DS probably had a high number.

For me it's probably FPS' I got sucked into with multiplayer:

Halo 2
COD MW2
COD Black Ops
Titanfall (I know I'm over 5 total days on this one)

I actually don't like talking about this because it makes me think about all the knowledge I could have acquired instead lol. I remember when I reached 500 Claymore kills in COD (or maybe it was 1,500. Either way I don't want to know). I actually sat there in silence like wow. I had fun but I could've done just about anything in that time spent.

Halo Combat Evolved (PC): Probably 2k+ hours think I had 1k or so recorded on Xfire back in the day but I had trouble getting my old profile page to pull up properly. Was my first online MP game and I was pretty heavily involved with a clan starting in middle school and going all the way through my first year of college.

Top 5 according to Steam.

Left 4 Dead 2- 266 Hrs
Left 4 Dead- 146 Hrs
Skyrim- 141 Hrs
Fallout New Vegas- 71 Hrs
Fallout 3- 64 Hrs
