What was the last movie you've seen?

The Big Bang theory is arguably this nation's worst post 9/11 tragedy.

But then again I probably see too much of myself in Sheldon, both good qualities and bad (my intellectually-driven narcissism, my draconian sense of logic in tandem with my often illogical BS).

On an unrelated note, I just finished watching:

Loved the original 1982 film version as a kid and just gotta say I LOVED this version. I could totally see Quvenzhané Wallis' Annie doing an advice column or something. Nearly everything she says are what some would call "words to live by". I am one of them.

Also, Cameron Diaz' Miss Hannigan was just so full of the love-to-dislike-but-not-totally-hate-her attitude that so many possess.

But awful lot of negative reviews, but I guess this film let its haters be its motivators, albeit in reverse.

I'm interested in the reasons for the Big Bang Theory dislike. Dave and Popo, would you elaborate please?

We can make a new thread about it.

well here's the thing - I don't really watch TV. During the weeknights, I watch one halfhour of TV a day. It's when we eat supper. What we watch changes. It's often a re-run of some sitcom we've seen many times prior. Seinfeld, The Office, Friends as Mike mentioned, Big Bang, etc. Sometimes it's Jimmy Fallon DVR'd from the night before. If we eat a bit later, it's Jeopardy. But seriously, Mon-Thurs that's the one half hour I watch.

Friday and Saturday night we'll watch stuff together. This usually just means a couple movies. Though we did get into the show Hindsight which is between seasons now though. Lately Friday night's we've been re-watching 90210 to get that 90's fix. We're almost done w/ season 2 now. Saturday nights are generally reserved for a movie or two.

Sundays I can go the entire day without ever turning the TV on if there's no sports on I want to watch that day.

So yeah, I like "bad" shows. But also IDGAF about TV all that much to begin with.

It's simply one of the worst TV shows ever made. Probably has the most obnoxious laugh track propensity I've ever witnessed too.

I don't particularly care for BBT, but I'm curious...what part of it bothers people? The "nerd" stereotypes? It is certainly nothing special, but there aren't too many sitcoms that are.

I find it odd that what they probably perceive as their target audience actually has a distaste for the show.
