so who knows how many hours I spent in my youth playing Street Fighter II, or Mario Kart or LTTP or whatever. But most modern consoles, handhelds and PC games actually log the number of hours you've spent playing them. So just thought it would be fun to see peoples' Top 5 or 10 or whatever games and how many hours they've spent using these modern logged platforms. Obviously times can be skewed - sometimes you go eat or watch a movie and forget you left a game running. But c'mon. This is for funsies.
Currently, my Top 10 would be...
168 hrs - XCOM Enemy Unknown
48 hrs - Dragon Age Origins
37 hrs - Falling Skies The Game
31 hrs - Borderlands 2
30 hrs - Talisman Digital Edition
20 hrs - Tomb Raider Anniversary
17 hrs - Borderlands The Pre-Sequel
16 hrs - Wolfenstein The New Order
13 hrs - Tomb Raider (2013)
13 hrs - Bioshock Infinite
...and some comments:
XCOM at 168 hrs. I don't even know what to. But in fairness, the Enemy Within expansion - a full game campaign on its own - is also logged as EU's launcher. So it's more like 2 games at 80+ each... this ignores the 20 or so hrs I spent playing it on 360 first tho... the Falling Skies game is a lot more embarrassing.
4 of the 10 are FPS games. My taste has really changed in the past few years.
2 Tomb Raider games in the Top 10? Weird.

I think I had like 500 (12,000 hours
) days played in World of Warcraft, and that was over 6 or 7 years

Re: Your most hour-logged games
The most I can remember recently...
109 hours in Final Fantasy XII
115 hours in Etrian Odyssey: Untold
I may have put double that into Super Street Fighter II back in the 90s.

Re: Your most hour-logged games
I am pretty sure my /played in WoW is ovee 100 days now.
And Madden each year I put in a ton in my leagues. Right now we just finished season 5. So 16 games at about 1 hr 15 min each per season plus offseason draft and Free Agency and doing game prep and increasing player attributes. I probably put 300-400 hours of madden a year.

Re: Your most hour-logged games
Let's see...
1. Borderlands 2 - 186 hours
2. Borderlands - 181 hours
3. Killing Floor - 165 hours
4. Terraria - 117 hours
5. Dungeons of Dredmor - 105 hours
6. Left 4 Dead 2 - 75 hours
7. Deus Ex - 64 hours
8. Rogue Legacy - 63 hours
9. Dungeon Defenders - 44 hours
10. Monaco - 41 hours
That said, this isn't an accurate representation of all the time I've spent playing games on Steam. At some point a lot of my times were reset. So I only have 2.7 hours listed in Team Fortress Classic, despite playing it for probably at least 10 hours a week throughout my college years.
Heck, now that I think about it, this is really only the times from the last couple of years...

Re: Your most hour-logged games
My most played game is probably Transport Tycoon Deluxe/Open TTD but I've played 2123 hours of Team Fortress 2.
Steam also says I have put 134 hours into FTL, which is more than I expected but I did play the game a lot

Re: Your most hour-logged games
Ack, I have no idea how you got so much enjoyment out of Terraria.
But L4D2 is something I could keep playing more of.

Yeah, as I hinted at in the intro it's not going to be accurate at all for many reasons. Steam doesn't log non-Steam games for instance. There's no GOG-timer that I know of. Etc. But it was more just a fun exercise to see what people's Top 10 Steam/XBLA/PSN/whatever lists would look like right this second.Ack wrote: That said, this isn't an accurate representation of all the time I've spent playing games on Steam. I mainly only played with Fast and Xen. We just messed around in it a lot.noiseredux wrote:Ack, I have no idea how you got so much enjoyment out of Terraria.
