I watched Lucy last night. It wasn't great. I thought I could sit through anything with Scarlett Johansson in it; I was wrong. There's just too many plot holes to suspend disbelief. I couldn't finish this film. It was that bad.
I like Luc Besson too. That's what really disappoints me. Everything else he directs is awesome. Not Lucy though.

I watched two movies last night while chilling with my baby. Groundhog's Day, which is seriously one of my favorite comedies of all time. The brilliance in the execution of such a silly, schlocky premise is done so well that the absurdity falls to the wayside of great comedic genius.
The other movie I watched, which was what put me to sleep for an hour, was King of Kongs for a Fistful of Quarters. All those soft, awkward voices were a cruel lullaby as I got what little sleep time I could weasel out!
Great movies! Happy times!

Re: What was the last movie you've seen?

I'm a closet fan of the TV show so I watched these this weekend. It turns out the movies are nowhere near as funny as the TV show is. I think it's because the writing is actually toned down and the comedy diluted in order to aim for broader appeal. But in doing so these movies became lackluster and failed to either appease long time fans or fresh newcomers. Honestly TPB will never appeal to as large an audience as a "normal" comedy film would, so it's stupid to have even tried to do that. The funny thing to me is, the first movie bombed and was not profitable because of this. But then the producers did the same thing with the sequel, and yet again it was not profitable. Really, you don't say? Oh well, maybe the third movie is better. All the writers have to do for a proper TPB movie is to take the normal TV show antics and amp them up with higher budget aided scenarios and more expensive visual gags and it would be great. Hopefully third time's a charm we'll see.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Don't Legalize It is hilarious. Don't miss it. Also kind of darker than usual for TPB.

So we're supposed to get an extra fifteen minutes of Batman v Superman today, right?
Although I didn't care for the trailer, I am looking forward to the additional footage.

Unlike many people here, your taste in film is as good as your taste in games.Exhuminator wrote:Or it is to me at least. Then again I have slightly different tastes than most folks. My all time favorite film isn't exactly all that popular either.
I assume that you have seen Tarkovsky's Solaris. (If not, get on that.) It is one of my very favorite films, and I hope to grab a copy of Stalker at some point.

Solaris, eww.
