My DC Agetec stick has sticky buttons

Post by RemyC »

I have two agetec sticks for my DC. Every now and then ill be mashing away, and a button wont pop back. I've disassembled my stick, and have realized that the stickiness resides within the buttons casing. So it appears as though getting new buttons is the only solution to this dilemma.
Could I get some recommendations on some buttons, or some resources?

skate323k137 has some used replacement buttons that he offered to me. I never got around to getting back to him on that, i'm sure you could get 'em from him.

I've learned that putting in other buttons requires modifying the metal plate since the Agetec buttons are smaller than most aftermarket ones.

what he said. I've got a set of lightly used agetec buttons i'll let go for cheap. PM if you're interisted. Otherwise, you're looking at disassembling the whole stick to dremmel out the button holes to fit sanwas. I did mine in a couple hours start to finish, it's not that bad, but at that point you've pretty much got to solder, and you're looking at about $4 per button.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.

I appreciate the offer, but I've decided to go the, "big project mod" route.
