Played up to Matango the other night. Had a couple bosses in a row now that I had walked into without much Sprite magic left. Made for some longer fights.

When I googled the name of the town for this post I learned that it refers to the name of a Japanese movie from the 60s about mushroom people. News to me

Ive been so exhausted recently with track meets and such, I fell asleep playing last night. I was wandering through the Haunted Forest... I think the computer characters leveled up while I snoozed.

I actually had a vague recollection of how to get through that place, but I was trying it before I entered the moogle village. After a while I ended up giving in and googling it. Of course trying to solve the seasons puzzle automatically kept me from entering the moogle village.

One facepalm later I was back on track.

After typing moogle twice that word looked so weird that I had to google "moogle" to make sure it was right.

Over the week I advanced some. I'm now at Northtown about to tackle the second ruins type dungeon(the music is one of my favourites: https://youtu.be/5vD-agv9mm0). Characters feel a little over-leveled and I'm okay with that.

There aren't any shields in Secret of Mana. Just armor, arm guards, and headgear.

Got to the Flammie drum tonight. This game cruises along much faster than I remember as a kid.
