I tried remote play on my Vita last night and was totally bummed that it kept telling me my internet connection wasn't fast enough. Bah!

Can you try it wired and see if it's working properly, also maybe see if you can check the resolution settings and lower some stuff. Not sure if this will help but the only thing I can think of besides paying for a faster connection.

I haven't remote played yet since my PS4/TV are in the same room at the moment but I can see with the one in my kids room how it streams this would be from a different level in the house with standard connection speeds.

I supposedly have 50/50 for internet but my router is old and the PS4 is all the way across the house (and downstairs). It probably wasn't meant to be but maybe i'll jack it up for $10 a month (seems to be the fios deal nowadays) and get that better output.

Yea not sure if paying the extra will help much, when I was shopping for internet I asked specifically about the speeds and mentioned the devices I was using. Pretty much the next step up from standard speed would be a business class type of service and those aren't really necessary for what we do at home normally such as gaming, surfing, streaming.

Now if the house is wired with Internet for each room that would work for sure, are cable company's doing that or you left to upgrade routers and speeds?

I'd think that the whole router option would be a cheaper upgrade in the long haul...50/50 sounds a lot better than what I get and it's strange what good a decent router upgrade can do(as long as you avoid the wonky brands and levels and don't pull a "oh it's on sale and it's a good one despite already being a few years old"....has screwed us over way too many times doing that one

If you're upgrading your router, consider upgrading your local area network at the same time. There's a great benefit in terms of speed and reliability. In many home and small office environments, the wi-fi is the bottleneck.

Run cat5e cable and cap RJ-45 ends. Make sure you have a dedicated ethernet cable for each of your desktops, laptops, set-top streaming devices, and game consoles. Get yourself a gigabit switch with ample ports so you have room to expand in the future. Then leave the wi-fi just for the devices that can only use wi-fi like your tablets, smartphones, and your vita.

If you do this, you will find that your hard-wired ethernet connections are faster and more reliable than your wi-fi connections. With fewer devices on wi-fi, your portable devices will also be able to connect faster.

Shovel Knight and Sayonara UmiharaKawase + are out,
Can't wait to pick these up!

Operation Abyss has a Limited Edition Available for Pre Order if you are into that kinda thang, looks like a Store exclusive too. Typical Box/Art book/Soundtrack deal but still.

I've been kicking myself for passing on the Amazon lightning deal they ran around the holidays on PS TV.

TEK - do you need any other subs to use that service or is it just a PSN ID?

You can just pull up your PSN acct and its lock and load. I'm actually noticing it's getting a hell of a lot of games lately too. I got the Lego bundle around the holidays for my daughter for $100 and got a second Lego bundle for month or so ago for around $60. Either way it was well worth it, the latter a steal.

It takes the DS3 & DS4 controllers so if you have already you would just need the system+cables and memory card. The 8 GB can suffice if you plan on getting mostly physical games but with Sony's ridiculous
Sales I would recommend 32gb to be prepared to take atvantage of these sales.
