I have never played any of those Persona or Shin Megami Tensei games, but Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is really intriguing me. I hear they're frustratingly hard, but 100 hours of gameplay fully voiced has me wanting to take the plunge when it releases. I went through this with SMTIV and didn't pull the trigger, but it says you don't need to know the plot of the first one so maybe I should experience one of these finally?

I'd hold my breath, to be honest. While the compilation sounds like a great idea, I don't know that it'd really get the sales Sega would be hoping for. Seems like people can pick and choose what they want. I'm curious how many titles they've sold at

Though it'd definitely be awesome and I'd buy it, I'm not sure it would happen. Can't you rub elbows with a few people you know in the biz, Dave? ;)

They had one in Japan, but it didn't contain all of the games and there has been no indication of a western release.

"This compilation will include some wave 1 & 2 titles which are the following: Both Fantasy Zones, Space Harrier, OutRun, Ecco the Dolphin, Streets of Rage, and Shinobi II. As a free extra the cartridge will include 3D Space Harrier and 3D OutRun with bonus Stereoscopic Master System 3D!"

Ahhh! Curse you region locked hardware! I'd love to have that as a physical copy.

No, the Devil Survivor games are completely independent of each other; you'll be fine starting with the second one.

It's just puzzling right? How do you backpedal after your previous two handhelds were NOT region locked?

The fact that neither the Sega 3D collection nor Dragon Quest VII are available in the U.S. is a national tragedy. I demand action!

.....

On topic, I have really been enjoying some games that I purchased from the 3DS eShop, and I have (or will very soon purchase*):

Box Boy*
Crashmo*
Gunman Clive
Gunman Clive 2
The Mysterious Murasame Castle*
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies
Pushmo
Summer Carnival '92: Recca*
VVVVVV

Given that I always opt for the physical copy of a game over the digital one are there any other games on the 3DS eShop I should consider purchasing?

Also, and while I have a large collection of vintage games (i.e., nearly every game available on the 3DS eShop), I do not have a Game Gear or any Game Gear games. Should I pick up any of those?
