Yes. I agree with this, but I would accept even a first-person Metroid game at this point.
At this point, you would accept a Pong clone with Metroid in the title.
I'll just take a Pong clone, period.

...or a Breakout clone. Nervouse Brickdown is one of my favorite NDS games and one of the best games I played last year. Nervous Brickdown 2 on the 3DS would be a "day-one" purchase for me.

Challenge: ACCEPTED. Going to set myself up for a playthrough and write a gushing essay on why The Faces of Evil is the greatest Zelda game. :)

Sega has confirmed Streets of Rage 2 (July), Gunstar Heroes (August) and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (September) are on the way to 3DS as 3D Classics.

SoR2 & Gunstar are NOT going to help my 3DS addiction, I don't know about the rest of you.

Well. That's interesting. Especially since I uttered over on USGamer that SoR2 and Gunstar Heroes are two of my favorite Genesis games of all time.

Not sure the 3D will bring me to the party, though. It'll have to be done really, really well.

I'd grab SOR2 at some point as I have the first one, but not the others.

And I'd argue that horrid animation/acting popup FMV aside that Faces of Evil is actually a good enough game to at least play through once as it's not terribly long at all. By CDI standards it's one of the better titles. The turd supposedly was the Zelda's Adventure game (overhead like zelda 1, but loaded with problems with bad design.)

Zeldas Adventure is horrendous. It is like an early win3.x game. Everyone has high shoulders, its hard to judge distances, and enemies get stuck/hidden behind objects often. Had it been called anything else, it would have disappeared completely.

That kind of sounds like what I vaguely remember about it being crap but I was just not sure. I think even Faces of Evil/Wand of Gamelon even without 'Zelda' in them still could have stood as a mediocre CDi/any platformer questing game but the other not a chance.

Seriously, the announcement of Gunstar Heroes and Streets of Rage 2 has me giddy. I could easily pick up the other 3D classics, like Outrun, Fantasy Zone, etc. They're all so good!

At this point I feel like holding off: what are the odds of a cart-based compilation of these Sega 3D games?
