Random Thoughts Thread
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
If you are passionate about English, are good at it, and can incorporate it into a larger plan for your life, then go for it. If you can't click all those boxes, don't.
Re: Random Thoughts Thread
Make sure to get a Master's in English. If you don't want to teach, rethink this altogether.
My wife and her brother both have MA's in English, but they both planed on being teachers.
So... Bathroom attendants. Kind of weird. I think there is only one restaurant in my city that has one, and he's a very polar type dude and subject.

Consumers' use of video game accessory known as "Game Genie Video Game Enhancer" to temporarily alter copyrighted "Nintendo" video games for their own enjoyment did not create "derivative work," and such use did not directly infringe copyright and seller of "Game Genie" was not "contributory infringer."

Re: Random Thoughts Thread
It's = contraction for "it is" or "it has."
Its = everything else.
Examples:
"It's a $10 copy of Earthbound -- and it even has its manual!"
"It's gotta be a scam. Lemme see its seller's feedback rating."
Know it, love it, live it. Just bringing this up because I see it fairly frequently on the board and I don't want it to bite people on the bum out in the real world.
