that would be nice but, ouch....those ain't cheap. i would suppose only gba roms would work since you would have to have an emulator on the flash cart as well to boot other roms. Anyone know the real deal?

Even if there is, it must be really crappy. The best SNES emulator for the DS isn't very good (it is decent, depending on the game you want to play).
However, a bunch of SNES games were ported to the GBA.

Despite them being related quite closely as far as mode 7 graphics etc. The GBA just isn't powerful enough to emulate it. The PSP has trouble with SNES emulation and that's more powerful than the DS.

Your best bet would be to get the fairly large collection of SNES/NES ports that were released on the system.

I had good results with Supercard SD. Only 4 or 5 of the 200 or so games I tried have any noticeable slowdown (GTA Advance, Tekken and Street Fighter 2 have it the worst the first 2 almost unplayable). I built 6 Gameboy Micro systems for people who saw mine and wanted one - all from gamersection.
The SNES emulation isn't very good, a bit worse than the DS one (which was almost directly based on the GBA one) but no sound.
check a compatability list here:

Also it has built into the latest firmware the emulators for all the older systems so you can just copy the roms on and play them.

If you get a Supercard, PM me for some tips on patching or a link to my FTP - I have a perfect Gig of GBA goodness.

Unfortunately, the GBA will probably never support full speed SNES emulation. Good thing there are a ton of SNES ports on the system. NES and SMS emulation are pretty damn good though.

Not sure about the quality, but DX has 1GB GBA flashcart for $25.90 shipped...
