Bayonetta looks like a cool game. I think I want to play it.

All this talk of Bloodborne makes me chuckle, as I literally just purchased Dark Souls II for $20 a few days ago.

Staying one generation behind has served me well.

I was looking at that version but was a little confused. Is that version the complete package then? The base game with all DLC?

Yes and no. It's the full game + DLC, but the base game has been enhanced/changed up some. Impressions I saw claimed the new version uses more difficult enemy placement and such.

Launch price on last-gen is $40 though, which I think makes it cheaper than buying the original release + DLC.

Do you really need to make the game harder????

DS2 was the easiest one for me by far, so I will welcome the change.

With the DLC, it sounds like an easy 70+ hours for a first full run (I had over 60 on the PS3 release). I definitely didn't mind double dipping for the PS4 version of the new release.

I don't know about Bloodborne, but out of the Souls series, Dark Souls II was seen as the easiest.

What is the proper use of the term CRPG? I'm very confused on the subject. As I understood it, stuff like Icewind Dale, Baldur's Gate, Planetscape: Torment, Diablo, the first two Fallouts, etc. I was understanding it to mean classic RPG , as in the "golden age" of western-developed RPG's. But from what I understand, that isn't well agreed upon, and many don't consider any, or only a few of those CRPGs.

If CRPG doesn't fit, what would be the category for those types of games? Isometric RPGs?

It's "computer" RPG.

Essentially synonymous with "WRPG" (Western RPG).

Yeah, pretty much. WRPG is a bit broader nowadays as some WRPGs appear on consoles and handhelds, but back when these terms first appeared, almost all WRPGs appeared on computers first.
