I don't think they do.

I'm already goofy looking, no idea why I'd make myself look goofier, but I was in high school when I got my ear pierced.

If any silly trend comes back it needs to be the "I'm with Stupid" t-shirt. I almost feel it's a must for my wife to wear.

Had a positive experience at Gamestop yesterday.

I was picking up a copy of Fire Emblem Awakening yesterday and got to talking with the employee about 3DS games since he just got one himself and wanted some recommendations. He was pretty cool and we talked for a few minutes.

Long story short, he got a copy of Xenoblade Chronicles for 3DS out of the back and let me hold it and look at it. Of course, I did not ask him to sell it to me a day early; I know they can get in trouble for doing stuff like that. It was still cool though since I am excited for that game.

It was just a little thing really, nothing life-altering or anything, but sometimes it is the little things that make a big difference in a customer's experience.
Have: Sega Genesis, SNES, Atari 2600, Atari 7800, Atari 800XL, PC, N3DS XL, Wii U, GBA, Xbox One, Switch

Copy of Klonoa that I picked up the other day is dead as a door nail. Was the last copy within 100 miles too darn :P. Gave it a run through the resurfacer to see if getting some of the minor scratches off could save it but it looks like the issue is the nice big ding/chip on the edge so there is no saving it  .

Guess I'll see if they will let me return it and keep the artwork/manual so I can snag a disc only copy online.

Spoke with the manager of my local GS and he said "Dude. You have your own shelf. Keep what you like on hold for as long as you want. Kinda cool that your wife actually buys this shit for you". It's a backscratching thing as he does me favors and I help line his wallet. All legit.

"Price" was let go as the manager wanted to fire the guy anyway. Apparently you can not find a reason to hire people sometimes. I also guess you can get fired from Gamestop by answering the phone with "What?" instead of "Welcome to Gamestop where we are happy to purchase your used phones, tablets, and games. Are you calling about a pre-order of Madden 2016?".

You're an asset or a liability.

You can request the other game shipped in direct from store to store. The phone call will verify condition and completeness. Best to do the request as soon as the store opens due to less customers at BOTH stores. Either way KEEP the manual and case (for the other copy which might ship incomplete) and just refund the disc. Really, keep the manual and case no matter what.

Clerk checked and couldn't find it anywhere so I just got my 9 dollars back. Kept the manual and case though so I'll snag a loose copy sometime in the future. He was kind of excited to find out it existed as well  . he was really bummed that he couldn't find another copy to ship in.

The Bad - Employee Lazy
Really?!! You can do a random zip code search yourself at the Gamestop site. I found four within a hundred miles which is the limit for customers to see. The store can get an instant nation wide listing, I think that employee deceived you. After you get a few store locations and phone numbers go back and ask the MANAGER to request the game shipped in.

Actually the stores with their "new system" can no longer see out any further than us as a customer can.

That is surprising. More the reason to do the search up front and bring the information (especially phone and zip code) in for the store to request having the game shipped in. I have done this many times in the past, saving so much compared to online prices.

This reminds me of the last time I requested a game, the Samurai Shodown collection on PS2, and at the time the closest one the GameStop system had in was over 1000 miles away.
