Looks like the K1 GBA SP does exactly what I want:

GBA, GB, GG, SMS, NES, and TG16. All for $60ish.

Same here man.Gunstar Green wrote:I'm not very technically inclined. I'm sure if I tried to make one I'd end up destroying either myself or my apartment.
My dream Gameboy is probably the original Advance with a back light mod. I actually like the idea of being able to use removable batteries that can easily be replaced over some proprietary cellphone type battery that will eventually be unobtainium if it isn't already.
Sadly I do not have the technical capability to mod that...

There are modders that sell pre-made ones, it's just not going to be cheap.

I gotta have me some real buttons.Exhuminator wrote:I've been playing Game Boy games on my Droid phone. Some people can't handle not having actual buttons, but it works well enough for me.
Looks cool - too bad they only do wholesale now and you have to order at least 50!fastbilly1 wrote:Looks like the K1 GBA SP does exactly what I want:

Depending on price I'd be up for one of those 50 units.
I'd also like to mention how much I enjoy my Game Boy Everdrive. It's probably the one I use most often since I can take it wherever I want. I'm patiently waiting for a GBA one however.

What if instead of making a top 10 list of hidden gems for each genre (since you guys think that's a bad idea), we just put genre type in brackets next to each game in the list. Like:
Faceball 2000 (FPS)
Cave Noire (roguelike)
Trip World (platformer)
Faceball 2000 (FPS)
Cave Noire (roguelike)
Trip World (platformer)
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

I've been wanting a GB Everdrive for convenience but if we could get enough people in on the K1's (I'm guessing not very likely) I'd go with that instead.

I might be game for it too. It would be nice to talk to someone who has actually held one of these things and played some games on it though.Gunstar Green wrote:I've been wanting a GB Everdrive for convenience but if we could get enough people in on the K1's I'd go with that instead.
