That font and banner makes it look like an educational software package.

I had that way back in the day, on the family 386...not sure it was a legit copy, but still.

Did it feel like a $189 value?isiolia wrote:I had that way back in the day, on the family 386...not sure it was a legit copy, but still.

"You gotta be insane to mess with that guy. His turnip is fully tossed."
"Git off mah land you turnip tossin hillbillies!"
"My boss walked in on me while I was tossing turnips. Needless to say, if you know anyone hiring..."
"The law frowns on tossing turnips in public in 37 states. Fortunately, we don't have that problem 'round these parts"
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Negatory, it was the first way I played some of those games, and they seemed subpar.J T wrote: Did it feel like a $189 value?

Kind of excited that DK64 is coming to the Wii U VC shop. I've talked about my experience with the game here before and I remember others being able to weirdly relate (or maybe with another game). But basically the thought of DK64 makes me feel ill, like literally. This is because when it was out I had mono that year or something, and marathoned the crap out of the game when I was half dead and ultra sick. Because of this it's just given me this weird nasty taste whenever I think back to it now.
Makes no sense, but yeah. So... I am hoping that replaying it will let me drain the excess weird sickening nostalgia that's been attached to it, because I remember it being solid otherwise. Definitely bloated and too big though, but... yeah, I want to have a new experience with it to wash away the old one haha.

I am absolutely impressed by the 360. It continues to sell 10 years later. When this console came out you were 10 years younger, you could have been be an elementary student and now married with kids! The graphics still looksas good as ever.
Either that, or technology advancement has really stagnated. They will break Sony's "10 year commitment" promise.
On a side note, not sure why the XboxOne is not getting as much love as the PS4. Its more or less the same thing with a different physical look.

Xbox One was more expensive for the longest time, plus Xbox One's former game sharing/reselling policy left a bad taste in people's mouth.
At this point, yeah, they are pretty much the same exact console, but because PS4 had that early start, there's more people on it - which means more people likely have friends on PS4, so more people get it and it just builds on top of itself over and over.
Basically, the same thing that happened early on with the PS3 vs Xbox 360, just in reverse. PS3 managed to come back eventually when they started getting a whole lot of great exclusives. So far, there aren't many great exclusives on the Xbox One, and I don't know of any on the horizon, so it's probably going to take them at least a couple years to finally catch up.
