Fundamentally I don't disagree with you, but I find that the advantage granted by switching back and forth between several weapons is incredibly marginal. Setting the Girl and Sprite AI to be aggressive is helpful; they annihilate everything in their path. Perhaps the experience is different when playing with another human being?

I just completed the Moon Palace. Moving right along...

Whenever a "Together" thread really piques my interest I put everything else on hold and go balls out. See our Lost Vikings, Grandia, Lunar, Ys III, and Phantasy Star Online threads for reference.

'Sall good though. It's not a race. And I'll still be posting in this thread once I'm done. As I've already played the game many times I'm really more curious about the experience of other people.

Oh, yes, with people v. alone is a very different experience imo.

I'm sad I missed Lost Vikings apparently...

I got to play a bit over the past few days and am about to go to the Upperlands. I love to grind in this game and continually switch out weapons so that all three are always building up their skill levels. I also burn magic before each stop at an inn.

I've started to use the Select button a whole lot more on this playthrough to speed up some of the combat by keeping all three beating on certain enemies.

This game really has held up well overall. I wouldn't have done the menus the way they are but pretty much everything else is just right.

Pure Land is down. Going to tackle the Mana Fortress after a bit of magic grinding.

A tip to all n00bs: level up Dryad. It might seem pointless at first but you'll thank me later.

First time I beat the game as a kid I had Dryad at level 0. Bad times.
