Play N Trade...still the best place.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Play N Trade is indeed a good place, but my only problem I have with it, is that is its about 4 hours away from where I live.

closest playntrade to my house is 40 minutes away (plus $4 toll)...so i obviously don't go very often, lol...

it's a good alternative to gamestop...the employees at WAY better overall...they usually have some fairly good stuff, but it's at eBay prices...

That is due to ebay being their main price setup. Retro games are all based on demand...thats why sometimes you can get games really cheap but other times some things are insane. Thats why i say prices vary place to place depending on whats going on. One day i could get 50$ for a metalslug trade in, and the next maybe only 20. Ebay plays a huge role in some of their prices.
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

I think if it is not in the system they can choose their price. I have two I visit almost every week. The prices of new gamers are across the board, retro games vary - retro systems REALLY vary (one sold me my toploader NES for $10, while the other wanted $100). They may not be the best store, but its better than Gamestop and Bestbuy...

They're free to set their own prices so they vary widly. I have 4 within 30 minutes of me. Some have better prices than others. One had turtles in time for $5 and the other $15. One of them hardly ever has new retro stuff whereas another one gets stuff in all the time. There's another retro place near me (not play n trade) that is rediculously priced so I've just given up going there. Most the time they don't even have anything good and when they do it's overpriced. I find boxed games at play n trade dirt cheap all the time. Shinobi 3 and a bunch of other genesis games for 3.99 (boxed with manuals). And they have buy two get one free on retro stuff every day.

At the PNT in Kitty Hawk, I bought a copy of Aladdin for the Genesis CIB for the EXACT...SAME...PRICE as a cart-only copy.
