My wife did the same thing the last time I tried playing it. The music must only appeal to male ears.

My wife doesn't watch me play games. :o

It's amazing how much easier this game is with a little level-grinding. Never did any as a kid. Didn't even have a concept of such a thing. I just tried to play it straight through like Link to the Past.

My wife is usually hanging out on the couch beside me browsing pintrest, facebook, the interwebs or just reading on her Kindle. If I play games upstairs sitting next to her, verses in the basement, I don't get accused of not spending time with her.

To me it was too irresistible not to spend a couple hours squashing rabites and hearing that ultra-satisfying sound.

I hope to start this this weekend

Though I've played it several times before, this is exactly how I'm feeling right now.

Same way I felt when I played Grandia earlier this year and Phantasy Star Online last year.

I put in about 2.5-3 hours today, which is a ton for me. I'm in the UpperLand, which is that beautiful "four seasons" area with all the moogles. The music is so entrancing. Good place to grind too.

So...would I be crazy to play the iOS port of this on my iPad instead of on a SNES?

I can't fathom why anyone would want to do this.

Ease of access and price, most likely.

But Dave has all that video game grant money, so price is no object.
