I've yet to "Together" anything on this site, but this one will probably drag me in. I played a couple of hours last night (on my Everdrive, don't own the cart) and it is just as good as I remember. I had a nearly maxed out save as a teenager with a friend's cart, and haven't really played it since.

Last thing I did last night was pick up the whip. I wish I had someone to co-op with me, as that was a major plus when I played it back in the day.

I've been through Secret of Mana a couple of times; so, I won't be joining in on this one.

The next time I play this game will be when my daughter is old enough to play as the young woman and my son is old enough to play as the sprite. It will be some pretty awesome family co-op...

Three player co-op is hard mode cause you can't spell stack.

That is actually how I went through the game the first I played it (i.e., in middle school, with a few of my friends, shortly after release). When I went back through it a few years later and again more recently, I thought it was much, much easier.

Playing with two young children will pretty much be "nightmare" difficulty...

Actually squeezed in about 45 minutes during my daughter's nap.

Did some grinding and beat the first boss.

Such a gorgeous soundtrack.

Hope to roll through 90 minutes or so this evening.

On this aspect I agree. Weird that Hiroki Kikuta never did another OST quite like this again though.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Seiken Densetsu 3 has a dope soundtrack but yeah - not quite as good as Mana's.

I've recruited the girl and just entered Gaia's Navel.

Where's Opa?

And how did I miss this until now!?!?

Basically... I'm pretty sure I've always secretly (well not really) been a bigger fan of Secret of Mana than Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI. Oh yes, I went there. I've replayed both SoM and SD3 countless times. Whenever I reformat, move to a new PC, or whatever, I always have to download SD3 right away. Been a tradition forever now.

Life is crazy and I'm knee deep into Bloodborne, but I just may have to dive into this again. Doesn't get much better.

My wife keep making fun of the music (more specific in the dwarf cave).
