Hah! Should've seen that coming.

Despicable Me 2 was absolutely delightful. I was lukewarm on the original, but basically the second one is based around the idea of "let's find out what people liked about the first and crank that up to eleven."

Have you guys watched Mulan with your daughters? If they're into the darker, edgier stuff, and strong women characters, it should be right up their alley. That movie rules.

As I mentioned I have twin daughters, but they couldn't be more different: one princess, and one tomboy. The princess loves Frozen; wears her little Elsa dress to kindergarten and everything. The tomboy's favorite movie of all time is ... you guessed it, Mulan. When we went to Disney World her single mission was to meet Mulan; not Cinderella, not Ariel, not even Elsa (hellloooo 4 hour line), but Mulan (who we thankfully did locate). And you're right, I love the girl power themes present in both Mulan (where it's more prevalent) and Frozen (where it's slightly less prevalent, but definitely present). Sisters are doin' it for themselves! :D

I suggest Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit. It features the strongest, best female protagonist I've ever seen in anything animated. If they are too young for that go with Spirited Away.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

That's funny, my middle child also loves Mulan and is more action-oriented, etc. She still couldn't help but ask every princess what her shoes looked like. :)

The last few years I've been doing this, I got blessing from Hobie-wan to go ahead with my shenaningans.

He's not here anymore :( So I fear the wrath of the other mods.
