Re: Amiibo!!
anyone looking for Sonic, Mega Man, Bowser, Sheik and Toon Link in southwest Wisconsin? The gamestop at Mayfair Mall has a ton of them.

Re: Amiibo!!
Has anyone been able to spot Fox lately in store? I haven't been able to track that down except online. Sure I could pay $22 to have it shipped off an ebay scalper but it's the principle of the matter. I'm just hoping they blow out a supply on Shulk when that game pops up next month as I want it for that purpose alone.

I bought one from best buy back in Feb but I don't think I've seen it pop up sinceTanooki wrote:Has anyone been able to spot Fox lately in store? I haven't been able to track that down except online. Re: Amiibo!!
That probably would be around the last time I casually walked by some amiibo and saw many of the missing common ones everyone snaps up to play scalper on ebay with.
I poked around a few stores again today while I was out, same suspects of the old wave and new (dedede, ike, etc) are all missing. People who talked to Nintendo reps are saying that come May the problem should be resolving itself. They're going to ramp up production of the older stuff once the Mario Party10 line comes out in April to meet that demand. So the scalping punks will get cut off in another couple months.
I think I'll just keep an eye out for Shulk for when Xenoblade pops out and I'll just wait for the restock to get Mac, Pit, Fox, and a few others I want of the 8/16bit era people are being sketchy about. I'm not desperate as I don't see value in them with smash bros.

Well, the hunt is kind of over in my area for now. The last week of Feb was pretty crazy with game stop getting their wave 4 order pretty late and finding a non-preordered D3 sitting at a store only 20 miles away. Meta Knight release, etc. Did manage to get my hands on a few store exclusives I really doubted I would get. Pretty happy with the current collection, enjoying the break till wave 4.
Anyone been training their amiibo?

Huh good for you with that. I only know one store around here with Ike, Dedede and Metaknight (meijer) and they're always out. Sadly they're not going to collectors by the look of online sites. I'm hoping to find Shulk before his game pops out a month from now.
I'm not training mine but I'm barely into Smash bros, it's a passing interest these days as I have zero interest in multiplayer so I just get them for my desk. I just have Mega Man and Toon Link for now, see no reason to run into the overly stocked ones you can get anywhere so my interest lies in Fox, Pit, Lil Mac and Shulk -- shortly Pac-Man.

Most are going to collecters. Even though there are a lot of resellers jumping on these, you realize they are still a small % of those that are actually shipped out right?

I am enamored of the use of Amiibos in Mario Party 10. So much so that I actually like Mario Party 10 whereas I have all but hated all other entries.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Jigglypuff acquired! Phew! I might have to leave work early to pre-order Ness from GS.
