There were some impressive Lego displays at Emerald City Comicon this year. Here's one I thought you guys might appreciate:

Also from Comicon, here are some of my favorite cosplayers this year. Actually, there were lots of amazing ones that I didn't get pictures of, but these ones made it into my camera.
Hulk Hogan and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Love that Hulk! He was so into it!

Bomberman. Kaboom!

Samhain from Trick R' Treat. She was super sweet and put her head-piece back on when she saw how excited we were that there was Trick R' Treat cosplay even though she was dying of heat. She was happy that someone recognized it, since people had been confusing her for Scarecrow (from Batman) all day. She actually thanked us for taking her picture, though we were profusely thanking her because it was clear she needed a break from the head gear.

Thrall from World of Warcraft. This guy won the Grand Prize during the competition. He was very impressive to behold. I saw him coming up the escalator, and though we were in a hurry, we reversed direction because a picture was clearly needed of this masterpiece. This picture is a little sunwashed, but trust me that there is incredible detail in everything in this costume.

I really like this Starship Troopers alien, but I was most impressed with the detail of Rufio from Hook (on the left). He made sure his costume was as authentic as possible. He wanted it to be something Rufio actually could have made himself, so the leathers are hand sewn, he used no zippers, and that's actually a real coconut half on the handle of his blade.

Huge Star Wars cosplay from the 501st Legion, who is a group that regularly dress up in Star Wars costumes around town to collect money for charities, or to entertain really sick kids at Children's Hospital. Great folks and super talented cosplayers.

Not just up there either. The 501st march every year in the DragonCon parade. It's impressive to see 100 stormtroopers marching through the streets of Atlanta in formation.J T wrote: Huge Star Wars cosplay from the 501st Legion, who is a group that regularly dress up in Star Wars costumes around town to collect money for charities, or to entertain really sick kids at Children's Hospital.
