Can you make the screenshot click-thru? Have a cropped version on the main blog, then have a "click for real screenshot" feature? Even if it's just a bare jpg that they land on...

It is possible, but I don't know how to do it. I mean, have you seen my blog? It's beyond ugly

You appear to be using wordpress? 1: There's a million sites where you can get way better help than me. 2: IF you're using straight html, take where it says something like

Code: Select all

<a href="./theimage.jpg"><img="./theimage.jpg"></a>

and change it to something like

Code: Select all

<a href="./the_actual_image.jpg"><img="./thethumbnail.jpg"></a>

Please note, I haven't using Wordpress in forever so you might not actually be using html to link the pictures you have in there. But my point 1 stands - there's a TON of wordpress help sites.

why not put two screen shots side by side to get something closer to the dimensions you'd prefer?

I do use HTML or at least what looks like it, so I'll try it out, thanks.

The problem is that..well, I don't have a lot of time and I would rather spend it writing than learning how to make my pictures a little bit better. I barely update my blog lately, I think I've written one article in the last two months and my backburner is probably unuseable. So it's not a priority for me.

Also, the big problem with the blog is not really the pictures or anything but just the fact that it's ugly. And I don't have the neccessary skills to make it look better, I'm not a graphic designer. I kind of want to pay someone to pretty it up for me, get me a logo or something, but I don't even know where to ask for a quote so...

You could rotate the images 90 degrees and claim they are side scroller shooters.

Just kidding, two screenshots a great idea to prevent the "HDTV" widescreen stretch. One screen could be the Title Screen, the other a gameplay or final boss screen.

You could even add a 3rd cropped and zoomed (not stretched) picture for specific details in your reviews. In the image above, just crop out the bottom of the screen.

I am over the fence with renewing my subscription with PSN. The only game I got over a year's time was Bioshock Infinite. All the other games offered, although decent, are not games I want to play or have spare time to check out.

The sad part is that there are many games I want to play were offered in the years I was not subscribed and they are not bringing back those.
