Thing is, the die-hards are going to watch no matter what. That's what makes 'em die-hards, right? FOX needs to build a big audience, not just people who have been waiting years for plot threads to be tied up.marurun wrote:Thing is, many of the die-hards are gonna want to see the core conspiracy arc stuff addressed, but the more casual viewers and newcomers might deal better with "monster of the week". So where do you think they'll go with this?
Also, I think we've addressed the word "casual" on this forum before. My enjoyment of the "Monster of the Week" episodes doesn't make me any more or less casual than you. Those are just the episodes I like best. Does that make me casual? My tattered, twenty-year-old, black X-Files shirt doesn't seem to indicate that. I think the X-Files best episodes are "Monster of the Week" episodes. I'm not the only person who holds that opinion. It's a legitimate viewpoint.
I'm not mad at you though, Maru. No harm, no foul.
