Marble Madness is infuriating.
That Atari stuff, aye. The NES port of MM is way nicer.

One Midway game I've been trying as of late -- Total Carnage. You thought SMASH TV was tough....

so like, no wonder.
OoT was the big one... wasn't it pushed back like 2 years or something? Seemed like it. Nowadays I always laugh when I see Zelda get delayed.

You can hardly blame them. I think more than any of their franchises they they have to get Zelda right or it's going to cost them.

I'm just amazed at the gall of the developers to have released a game which has the sole mechanic of having terrible controls.

For what it's worth, all these years later Mark Cerny gave us a pretty awesome apology in the form of the PlayStation 4.

There's probably a thread on it somewhere,
in any case, is anyone on here looking forward to the "Retro Video Game System" ?

The RETRO VGS is a new cartridge based video game system that will be launching following a spring/summer Kickstarter campaign.

That's because you are playing without the trackball that made the game so amazing. Really, it's just not the same without it and any control issues arise from the lack of it.

It's really difficult to take good shmups screenshot for my blog. The games are vertical which limits the field a lot and you normally are far away from the enemy so you can either show them or show the player ship, not both. And if you want to show a boss, it's going to be difficult because you can't fit them in the screen half of the time because they are too big

Still, Battle Garegga is amazing and it deserves a good review so I'm willing to tinker with it.

Do you shmup on PC? Cause if you use a pad, finding a way to map the screen shot command to a button on the pad could help with trying to get that perfect shot...
