Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
So continuing on in my Pokémon SoulSilver journey today, I was battling a bunch of trainers in the Whirl Islands and then Team Rocket. Know how you have the option of asking Mom to save your money you win from battling trainers?
Well, I fought about 5-6 trainers in a row, and after each battle I get a phone call from Mom saying she found a useful item while she was out shopping, and she spent my money. These calls couldn't be but more than a minute after the first. I figured the items must have been real deals or some real finds, they were just berries. Hardly worth the phone call.
TLDR; My mom spent my college fund while I was off saving the world from Team Rocket.

If i remember rightly, despite the fact she says she spent your money on them, you don't actually lose any of your savings - it's just scripted to happen when you earn a certain amount.Blu wrote:So continuing on in my Pokémon SoulSilver journey today, I was battling a bunch of trainers in the Whirl Islands and then Team Rocket. Surprised it happened at Whirl Islands though - those swimmers don't carry much money.

That's the thing though, there couldn't have been a threshold I was crossing. It was phone call after phone call. It's still happening! My in-game mom is a shopaholic and I am an unappreciative son!

How you dare to not apreciate the berries your mom bough for you?Blu wrote:That's the thing though, there couldn't have been a threshold I was crossing. It was phone call after phone call. It's still happening! My in-game mom is a shopaholic and I am an unappreciative son!

I can't tell how much I like Earthbound. Sometimes it's fun, other times it gets rather annoying. Especially since I'm playing on a phone.

Yo if you go back and read old nintendo powers, every couple of years it's like "Zelda's gonna be on time this time, guys, we're sure of it" and then it gets delayed again and again
so like, no wonder.

Klax's Tetris effect is awful.
Also, dreaming of puzzle gamess is an incredibly frustrating experience

I find that old Midway games are some of the toughest to loop/beat.
Marble Madness is infuriating.

I've played a lot of Marble Madness over the years so I don't think I'm allowed to judge that game's difficulty anymore.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I find that old Midway games are some of the toughest to loop/beat.
