So I ordered seeds from Mozybeau farms on ebay:

Just a handful of random things to experiment with, like Tabasco peppers and jumbo pumpkins. Since he is in Kentucky, he is only half a grow zone away so pretty much everything he sell should be good for me to grow. I ordered Sunday, Ebay said they should be here Saturday, they arrived yesterday. I also received a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase, tips on how to get the best out of a couple of my items, an email address and cellphone number in case I have any issues, and several recipes. Its hard for me to not want to give this guy as much business as I can.

We are supposed to get snow tomorrow night so I cant put them out yet, but they will go in the seed starter greenhouse this weekend.

Cool. I've been ordering from Renee's Seeds for the past couple years. They often throw in a couple freebies, usually some exotic varieties that bring me out of my comfort zone. Its always fun to try something new.

I welcome spring with open arms. It. Is. Time.

That's too cool. I love that attention to customer satisfaction.

I joined a group called "Grow Appalachia" which is going to help me learn to grow my own vegetables. They're even giving me a spot of land in their community garden. Good times.

I recently had a conversation with a man who built his own house. It's a big house too: two stories, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, big kitchen, big living room, big dining room, plenty of closet space. I asked him about building it. He said it took him two years, and (he emphasized this point) it was all he did. Wake up; build the house all day; go to sleep; repeat tomorrow. He asked no one for help. Imagine doing that for two years. I'm hoping it takes less time to build a small house. I'll find out some day many years from now.
