MLB 2015 Thread

Post by catnip »

So anyone else on this here forum into the MLB?

My Yankees always make me feel like they're primed to win a championship... as long as none of their old farts get hurt.

Seriously, though, their rotation, barring injury, looks pretty nasty - Tanaka, Pineda, Sabathia (who has upped the speed of all his pitches by about 5 mph), Eovaldi (super talented; I bet on Rothschild to bring out the best in him), and... well, not much in the way of a fifth starter, but those four are great!

Hey man, I think they've certainly improved a bit - I'm skeptical of how tangible the effect of a manager is on a team, but I always hated playing against Maddon's Rays.

The Cubs are reminding me of the NL's version of the Astros - a young, talented team, who probably need a year or two more to grow, but could definitely challenge the big boys some day very soon.

I'm a Phillies fan.

We might have the all-time losingest team in baseball, but at least we have the best mascot in the game.

True story: the day the Phillies won the World Series that year was also the day that I found out that I would be a father (the next summer). Maybe the best day of my life.

Cubs still suck.

And apparently people would rather piss on the stands than in the confines of Wrigley. Fitting analogy. Emphasis on anal.
