I know! Luckily, when they are found out in the wild, they aren't that expensive, even on Ebay. So give in! Start collecting boxed PC games, because they are not expensive and they are cool as all get out! I mean, just look at how cool the Gabriel Knight box is!

what do you mean 'start'? I've been picking up boxed PC games for a couple years now haha.

I scored King's Quest VII for $2 at a thrift shop on my home last night for instance.

See there ya go! A lot of people disregard collecting PC games and it is mind-boggling. PC box art didn't have rules and regulations. They could do practically anything in the design and make some really crazy stuff. Love it!

There are some gold box games at my local HPB. They're not in perfect shape and I don't remember prices. I think they were IBM copies, but I'm not 100% sure.

I think they were the 5.25s though

Yeah, that would have been a main reason why I didn't keep them in mind. Aside from the fact I'd never get to them, I don't have a workign 5.25 drive anymore.

I still have my 5.25 drive for my Apple II GS. That poor thing... my older brothers had to jury rig it to work after I put in a copy of Wheel of Fortune in backwards when I was 4. We had to pull the drive out of its casing and manually lock the disk into place. I wonder if it still works.

The Forgotten Realms SSI games have arrived on GOG. Could more SSI collections be in the future? Amazing news.

I hope so! They are such great games that a lot of people forget in place of console JRPGs. I only wish that retro PC gaming got more credit. Thank you GOG for for bringing to light all of these classic games. I would buy them... if I didn't already own them.
