When you bid on something on ebay and everything in the "People who shopped for this item also looked at" is all stuff that you looked at right before or after it, that's probably a sign you're going to win it.

Found out I am highly intolerant to gluten/dairy like my mother.

Anyone here living a gluten/dairy free life? Stories? Tips?

Gluten "intolerance" is usually a symptom of a larger or different problem. If you don't have Celiac Disease, consider reading up on FODMAPs, which are the more likely cause of intestinal distress in very sensitive individuals.

Doesn't make eating any easier, though. Sorry : (

I had a pretty bad allergic reaction a few years ago, to what we never found out and it never occurred again thankfully. The doctor thought it was a gluten allergy but the tests came back negative there. For a while however I stopped eating gluten.

It was pretty miserable. :(

We don't tolerate intolerance around here.

I'm lactose intolerant. My mother is a bit, and my grandfather was so bad, he used to eat his cereal with apple juice poured over it instead of milk.

Just a few tips: avoid milk. You may be able to eat smaller amounts of things like ice cream without too much discomfort. Same with cheese. I typically drink almond milk as a replacement for milk, but give Lactaid, soy milk, and almond milk all a try and see if you like any of them.

The truth is, avoiding dairy isn't that hard to do most of the time. Cheese will probably the biggest concern for you, though I find a nice piece of pepper jack worth putting up with any potential discomfort.

Or a block of brie.
