Oh thank goodness....hopefully without the money and backing of Konami the man will stop with the Metal Gear Solid nonsense. Maybe he can take some time off, tear up his degree from the George Lucas School of Storytelling and go back to basics. Konami is better off freeing up their resources for other things.

Wow is that really Mr Sakaguchi? How the hell did they get him to do this skit? Props to him for having a fantastic sense of humor!

While I definitely agree this could be a great thing for Kojima. Hopefully it allows him to work on anything not MGS.

On the other hand I hope it doesn't mean Silent Hills will suffer. It's one of my most anticipated games...

We definitely need more info. It sounds like some shit went down with Konami's reaction.

The weird thing is, I thought it was fact that Kojima Productions were 70% of Konami or something by this point. So in a way I'm kind of surprised they pulled this off.

And I don't know if it gets more blatant than this that Silent Hills is dead.

They killed Team Silent. It's not the first time.

The Metal Gear games are among Kojima's worst... Interested in seeing what happens.

I can understand that opinion concerning a few of them. But Metal Gear Solid 3 was freaking awesome man...

Wow, I'm honestly a little surprised at all the disdain for MGS in this thread. Not that I don't understand why someone might not like the series, but I've always gotten the impression people on this forum generally liked them.

I suppose what surprises me most is that this is the first time I've seen this kind of reaction, maybe?

Dude, regardless of what people think of the plotline of MGS2, the gameplay is totally spot-on.
