The official Racketboy "I Love You Man" thread.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

I would love Dave like many of you but the fact of the matter is he still saw that flea market copy of Rocky and Pocky first...

Just kidding, it's great to have a game hunt buddy who gives me first stabs when he buys a lot off of someone and who knows the best Mexican places within driving distance.

Also our last names are slight misspellings of the Mythbusters like some kind of bootleg version so that counts for something.

My wife's eyes rolled so hard I could hear them when I pointed this out to her yesterday.

It's true, Popo and I are like a bad buddy cop team. He's the grizzled old guy too close to retirement, and I'm the psychotic up-start with nothing to live for. We go around fighting crime and spouting catchphrases, like "You're too young for this," or "Hot fudge sundae." And every now and again, Eddie Murphy shows up.

Interesting take. Here I thought of you two as Dirty Mike and the Boys.

I'd like to say I Love You, Man, to Fast-Billy and Racketboy for the recent thwarting of Skynet when Racketboy went down for a few days and everyone started jonesing for their Racketboy.com/forum fix. You all are a great site admin and we thank you for resolving the issues and letting us get back to our usual ranting, raving, and TSTR's dropping of phat beats. Side-note, I'm sure Ack and Popo had to e-elbow drop some villains and bring them to justice for this as well, so thanks too.
That was the worst outage we have ever had - I have been on the site 8 years now, Racket almost 10. That will not happen again. Racket deserves all the credit because he ran point on it. I had dozen interviews and was snowed in two days that week which took me out of the loop.

A photoshop is worth a thousand words, and so today's "I love you man" goes out to Michi!

This post was prompted by this recent bit of Michi's artwork. I think it speaks for itself.

But aside from Michi's artistry/comedy, there are two words that immediately come to mind: Movie Reviews! Michi offers up some of the most thoughtful and thorough reviews on this site just out of the sheer joy of writing them and sharing them. Every Halloween I look forward to the wonderfully odd and oddly wonderful movie recommendations that Michi provides on an almost daily basis.

I was going to end this with a photoshop of a Battle Toad high-fiving Jill Valentine, but I couldn't do it as well as Michi. Cheers!

Throwing out some love for all of you like a crazy polygamist pilot!

Cronozilla - Dude, I say it a bajillion times, but I can not stress it enough; you are seriously one of the best guys I know here on the forums and are a blast to talk to when I get frustrated or when I want to enthuse. You put up with a ramblings about how the Myst series is honestly the greatest video game series of all time, or how no one can see the absolute beauty in FMV games. Hell, you even spent a moment playing Myst Online: URU Live and put up with me chuckling as you tried to figure out puzzles.

I'm a dick for that, I know  , but I still appreciate you trying! Don't ever stop being the awesome creative force that you are and never give up. Draw dammit!!!

Key-Glyph - I never get to say it enough, but thank you for always laughing at my horrible jokes and thinking I'm a cool guy. You are a great shining example of a person who is accepting of everyone and always being a supportive person no matter what is going on in your life! You really do rock!

JT - I adore your intellectual and mind-bending posts on the concept of reality and perception, as well as the philosophical conundrums that technology presents to society. I swear I read the articles and find them interesting and I curse myself for never taking the time to participate in the conversation. Also major shout out for a lover of FMV games. Some day they will earn the gaze of video game hipsters around the world and we can welcome them with Genesis Pad and some sort of cold beverage that people enjoy on a regular basis cause we were totally there first!

Dunpeal - For checking up on me from time to time and make sure that I am still alive. You continue to make me want to play SHMUPS even though I stink at them and when I see a game in the genre I always say, "Wonder if Dun has played this one?" The SHMUP is the second weakest genre for me and I have found some enjoyment in playing them thanks to you.

Blu - Because we so need to hang out more and get some gaming done. I propose we start an underground Phantasy Star Online Episode III C.A.R.D. Battle Fight Club. You know you want to!!!!!!!!! We have enough people in the Michigan area let's do this!!!

Xeogred - You know I'm here for you man! Keep up the positive and good vibes and Just want to say I'm looking out for you!

Stark - For some awesome parenting advice a long while back in IRC. You just wait, I may or may not bombard you with ridiculous questions that may or may not include, "Would it be safe to attach a vacuum cleaner hose on my baby's butt?" So get ready!

also to everyone else who has said nice and kind words to me as I go into the frighteningly spectacular journey of parenting. I appreciate it!

I'm going to send out some love today to mjmjr25. Thanks for being a caring and thoughtful human being. I never feel uncomfortable talking with you about anything.

You are always the first to contact me if you think I need someone to talk to, and the one who takes the most time to respond. It is always in a thoughtful and caring way, and time and time again I see you trying to spread the same love to many other members here.

You question yourself, are humble, and honest. For these reasons and many more, "I love you man."

You are appreciated my dude.

I'm glad you like the Weird Science posts. I have fun with them, but I'm never quite sure how they are perceived.

Now let's you and I clink those non-descript cold beverages together and lament that Duelin' Firemen for the 3DO was never released. Cheers!
