Not on here, though I do have them all on an excel sheet.

It was 100 carts, 30 good, 40 ok, 30 bad, but I needed almost all of them.

I thought you ditched most of your N64 collection a few times Mike? Are you starting back up on collecting it?

Exactly.

Got the cart only collection end of 2010 - realized there's really only 30 games that have a lot of play value - sold entire cart collection on ebay, $1,200 or something close to that, 4-ish years ago.

A few days later I waxed nostalgic and realized I love N64, they are all wonderful, I cut my teeth on this library. However, I think the reason I wasn't loving them was because they were loose. I slowly collected the entire library CIB over the next 2 years. Once I got the last few rarez (Rat Attack, Stunt Racer, Tom n Jerry) I couldn't believe how much money I was spending on cardboard and paper and that only 30 of these 300 games are even playable. So, I sold off the dozen highest priced CIB's and then sold the rest in (2) huge chunks.

A few weeks later I was really missing my N64 games so I bought a Everdrive. I realized I hate emulation so I put it in a case and never even got an SD card loaded up.

A year later I realized I love N64 and I don't need boxes and manuals. I sold my Everdrive and began buying up all the carts.

This cycle is a dreadful, but fulfilling thing. I'm back on the Dreamcast itch, slowly but surely though. Maybe a game a month, pick it up, play it, keep it in the collection. Glad you snagged a good deal though, that makes things easier!

I ended up going ahead and getting AeternoBlade. I've seen a lot of comparisons to Mirror of Fate, and I actually enjoyed that game, so maybe this will also be at least some semblance of fun. Worth a shot at $5, anyway, I suppose.

Interesting story and happy to hear you're getting an N64 collection again.

I don't mean to sidetrack the thread but is anyone else bothered that he used Everdrive and emulation together? To me, an Everdrive is similar to the new generations physical vs digital, just a different delivery system. Emulation is typically creating a program to mimick the hardware which an Everdrive doesn't do. I do draw the line on save states though since that is doing something the original game/system didn't do. I now return you to your regularly scheduled games acquired thread.

Yeah, it bugged me too. Just ignore him. He's an idiot.

Took a risk on a complete in box Fire Emblem GBA game from Goodwill CA on Ebay for $55 shipped. It just had a stock photo and described as complete and like new condition. Well it arrived today, and it appeares to be brand new and sealed. I was very very close on keeping it sealed since I already have a cart only copy from my childhood. But I am very anti-sealed game and part of me would always wonder, is it really factory sealed or resealed by Goodwill? What if there is really just a Mary Kate and Ashley cart in there  so I cracked that sucker open. Yep original cart and all inserts and manual. Right now I am trying to complete my Fire Emblem collection and have it all be complete in Box, and this completes my US Fire Emblem collection now I just need complete copies of the Famicom games, Genealogy of the Holy War, the JP only DS game and Thracia 776. The hardest is going to be Thracia 776. since there are 3 versions and all are pretty hard to find.
