About 5 or so hours into Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure. Loving it so far. I wish there were more modern FMV games. This game shows just how awesome it could be to get actors more directly involved in games. Screw face and motion capture just film them  . Plus all of the actors are great and everything even the descriptions is voiced :). You can also see a lot of love went into the game there are a ton of call backs to the previous games as items in the environment will actually show flash backs of previous game footage when examined.

Edit: Fixed it up a bit. Was a little sleepy when I wrote it and it showed

I swear I'm not picking on you and I know that was originally a PSP game, but that blur layer on that looks terrible. It's like someone had a sneezing fit on the camera lens and then just kept going without cleaning it. Surely it would look nicer without it. :|

Yeah, visually it is very strange. You can tell where they did some stuff that isn't possible on the PSP for the HD port, you can see some stuff that looks blurred or not-so-well "enhanced" and then there's stuff that just looks like PSP graphics. Very odd.

I'm not even talking about the stuff with the models and textures. I'm talking about the whole screen having a hazy smear over it. Like the old pantyhose trick, but overdone. Also not very appropriate for something you're going to be looking at for long periods of time as opposed to a still photo or a scene or two in a movie. I wouldn't be able to stare at that game for long as it would bug the crap out of me. Making something "HD" and then immediately blurring everything defeats the purpose.

Sorry, I'm done.

The character designs is what makes me cringe. What's with the Bayonetta look-a-like?

I should post more in this thread. I keep forgetting how easy it is to take screenshots with the Retron 5.

Meh, they aren't so bad thus far. Do you have an aversion to buckles?

Yeah. I'm not wearing a belt right now. Or pants for that matter.
