Been playing WoW, with no real intent to do much other than solo and explore. Last year, prior to the expansion, Blizzard apparently gave the game out to Battle.net accounts, but I didn't realize it until there were only like two days left on the free period. So, paid for a few months, since I've gotten less out of plenty of games that cost more. I suppose actually hitting 100 will mean spending more >.>;

I'd never really played it before, except for logging in a couple times for the trial version when they first offered it. Even though the experience now isn't the same as launch, it's interesting (if not amusing) to recognize just how shamelessly so many games in the genre copied it. I mean, I was generally aware, but didn't realize the full extent.

Yes, and so does some of the DLC for both.

Metal Gear Solid 4. Was enjoying it fine until the fourth act, at which point it becomes totally incredible.
Also the cutscene where they're on Mei Ling's ship and plotting to infiltrate Outer Haven is hilarious and it's just so cool to see everyone working together in three dimensions

BL2 Tiny Tina is where its at.

BL2 is the best in the series, it takes all that is great with BL1 and adds more variety. Well that and Boner Farts. Sadly Presequel is almost all in space bases and barren moonscape. Thats not to say its not alot of fun, it is just samey, more so than BL1.

Yes. Tiny Tina's DLC is the best video game about video games ever made. Hilarious and brilliant.

BL2 is just great, yeah. Even after beating it there's plenty of allure to revisit as well as DLC to expand it.

Right. Pre-Sequel is kind of like BL2 but w/ less gravity and less diversity in environments. It's still fun though. And now there's some new DLC's coming out that look pretty cool, like the one that takes place in Claptrap's nightmares.

Agree, BL2 really took the core of BL1 and improved upon it in every way. BL1 isn't as fun to play after BL2, which is a shame because BL1 is an amazing game! (I hear they're remastering BL1, by the by.)

Pre-Sequel....sigh. It's BL2 with a new skin and some environment modifiers, and just not as fun. The story is OK, but they really drew out some of the worst elements on the game. Objective is all the way at the end of the map...only to find out it's really all the way at the end of the next map...no, haha, the end of the next map...and now you're in a building...and you'll find your adversary...all the way at the end of that map. It's a llittle sparse in between objectives, with too much fetch and not enough interesting in the enemy variety or loot availablility to make it worthwhile or satisfying. I actually haven't finished pre-sequel yet...because...well...there's not a lot of draw. The DLC season in comparison to BL2 is abysmal too. It's really a shame, because it's such an excellent game overall...should have just added pre-sequels content as a huge addition to BL2. I'd have paid $30 for it for sure.

It was a rumor that Tiny Tinas was going to be BL1 in the BL2 engine. Obviously that did not happen, but I would love for it to make the jump. BL2 played smoother and I have reasons to go back through it, though I still like BL1 more. What would be awesome is BL1,2,1.5 all on the same engine with all characters. Let me play through the BL1 storyline as Handsome Jack or BL2 as Mordecai.

Is the BL1 remaster solid, or still just a wild rumor?

You know what I like more about BL1? The environment. Every time I load it up and get lost in it...there's something about the creepy isolation of it all, and yet there's always something to explore around every corner. A little bandit camp here, an abandoned building there. Few games manage to immerse you in their atmosphere so succesfully.

I don't think it's solid as in yes it's actually happening, but Randy says if the Handsome Collection coming out is successful....I'd guess that we might not see it in the near future, but it'll happen eventually. It's too good of a game not to get a remaster treatment.

I love your idea, I'd love them all on the same engine with freedom of character choice!
