I'd like a tape deck but my current goal was to spend as close to zero dollars as possible, of which I accomplished. A tape deck and some nice speakers would be nice though. A bit of trivia, there are also digital recorded tapes, but was a very limited market. The problem was the "analog" method of jumping songs by still having to fast forward or rewind.
A Tape Deck versus a Boom Box will be better for the home stereo or TV amplifier system that has a Tape or Aux input. Unless the tape is rare or out of print, upgrading to CD would be a better route though.
Upgrade to CD??? Nah, then I don't have anything to rewind.
The only time I'll buy a CD now is if it is unavailable on itunes or is significantly cheaper than the download.
