All games that qualify as "shooters" must be beaten just as the developer intended in one sitting. Otherwise, you get your RB card taken away.

RB has cards now? Cool. Maybe I can sell mine on Steam for 8 cents.ExedExes wrote:What have we learned this week?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I found out that I was not a card carrying member of RB. That's because I did not know the secret handshake, the code word, or even where the clubhouse is (Protip: the Shmups forum). The more you know!ExedExes wrote:All games that qualify as "shooters" must be beaten just as the developer intended in one sitting. Otherwise, you get your RB card taken away.
I also found out RPGs are actually the shortest gaming genre. Now that I know that, looking at my backlog I'm more afraid of Klonoa 2 than Daggerfall.
On a serious note, I discovered we as a community here can have crazy divergent debates about the most trivial of things and manage to not only avoid ad hominem melt downs, not only not get a thread locked, but even mange to not have anyone get banned. Now that's a first on a video game forum in my experience! You guys are gentlemen and scholars.

I guess you could say TF2 has been a significant part of my life.

I don't think you would spend that much time doing something you hate.
Only 43 hours to go to get to the same point in CS:GO too.

I don't play any Mann vs. Machine nor much of a few of the classes.Hobie-wan wrote:But only 58% of cheevos? Chop chop!
Got 83% of the CS:GO achievables though.
Which reminds me. Do people actually still care about achievements or was that entirely a fad that is now simply expected in all games but never really paid much attention?

I once saw someone bitching about how the Xbox One has some achievements like "Day one owner" that supposedly ruins the integrity of the achievement system.RyaNtheSlayA wrote:Which reminds me. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I never cared about the achievements in PS3 games. "Yay! You saved the game for the first time!" "Wow! You opened your first door!". I would have turned them off, but I actually like the sound it makes when they're triggered. And, I guess laughing at the lamer ones is another benefit.
