Re: Nintendo 3DS
Atlus has been charging $50 for their new 3DS games for a while now unfortunately. This is colloquially known as the "Atlus tax".

Re: Nintendo 3DS
They must have learned from the masters of the Square tax.
Except now Square is aware they're not loved like they were in the 90s/00s so now that tax has passed onto Atlus.
I for one am very interested in that Rodea game.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Just finished Bravely Default a little while ago today. I've been playing it for a few weeks I'd say (maybe a month? Can't remember exactly when I started it) and I was really enjoying it for being this blend of old-school & new-school JRPGs and just reminding me of when Final Fantasy was actually a good series, but then I came across
And it really soured me on the whole thing, to the point that I have no interest in replaying it. Anyone else have that reaction or am I alone on that?

So pretty much everyone agreed that the part you're talking about was pretty lame. Myself and many others ended up turning off encounters for that part which made it much more bearable and lets you focus on the story going on there which is more interesting.

For most of the game I would just level/job grind for a while, then when it came to dungeons or having to move around to advance the story, I'd turn encounters off. That was one of the new-school aspects which I enjoyed.

Most of the reviews I've seen put it around the 80% mark. Seems pretty solid to me.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
Now I guess file this one as shenanigans and rumor. Before Majora's Mask came out Play-Asia that overseas gaming retailer decided to post a rumor saying that NCL(Nintendo) had stop printing copies of the game and shipping them to stores. The US game media liking to one up before researching facts because it's easier decided to go with the story. This caused a feeding frenzy as people saw that with people snapping them up at local stores and online and then turning them for a profit. If you look back a few months you can see where it jumped from being a new/used game around that $40 mark it retails for and up to like $80-90 for a CIB great shape one and a bit more being new.
I was trying to get a copy of it again about a month or so back and dug and found all that, angry over the scalping I called Nintendo to verify the story (as email gets form letters.) The guy went into their database and said that it was still widely available both digitally and at retail, but that being it's an older game it wouldn't be largely shipped. So what you have is a game they still send out, but like a game here or a game there, not a box of them here or there. So when they do show up at whatever store gets them, they're gone.
I have an immaculate complete copy of it thankfully due to a little luck, perseverance, and a bit of a drive about a week and a half ago.

By the way did any of you order that New3DS charging cradle from the NOA store before it went out of stock?
Mine just arrived today which is amusing as I didn't think UPS did Saturday delivery. It's pretty nice and will be far more handy than having to tie the cord around stuff to not lose it behind things.
