Keep it up Stark! You are doing great! The snow level was the most difficult level for me when I beat it back in the day, most because I had a hard time keeping track of where everything was in the dungeon as things shifted around.

Have you done any of the mask quests yet? How is the game faring for you so far? Good?

Been playing Burnout 3 as I had a blast with this game when it first came out on the oXbox. Love the arcade feel that these games have. I personally didn't really enjoy the open world games (Revenge/Paradise).

I've done a couple of sidequests for masks, if that's what you mean. I've gotten the fairy mask, the marching one, and the smelling one.

I like it a lot so far, the main quest isn't as far off he beaten path of Zelda as I was thinking it was.

I'm terrible at virtually any 5th+ gen game that isn't an RPG.

Burnout 3 is one of my favorite racing games ever. Awesome stuff.

I'm slowly chipping away at Treasure Tracker. It's still fun stuff, and it's getting more and more intricate as the game goes on. I'm loving it, for sure. For the folks that said the content is slight, I'm about halfway through (I think) and have about 8 hours in. That's not bad at all, if one is concerned about how much time you'll spend with it.

It should be noted, of course, that I'm trying to get all the gems plus do the optional requirements, which I would argue makes things much more interesting than just trying to blaze your way to the star, anyway. Not that doing so isn't an option, there are also challenge times to complete the stages as well, I just typically ignore those because I don't like speedrunning in most cases. :(

It should click eventually! I was terrible to start, too. I've got a lot of experience with these third-person action games (DMC, God of War, etc.), but there's almost always a learning curve, and it took me a bit to find a groove in Bayonetta. And even with my experience, I died quite a few times. It's not an easy game at all, and Platinum has never been shy about throwing a lot of stuff at you anyway.

Put some time into Prey over the weekend. The 2006 FPS shooter.

I was surprised to see this game uses portals, and not only that, but the portals are oval shaped and colored either blue or orange. (Oh well it's not like some other game came afterward that did the same thing and became world famous or anything.) There's a lot of anti-gravity stuff going on in this game. Often there is no real floor or ceiling or walls, all of it is relative to where you're currently standing. Up is down left is right as needed.

If portals and anti-gravity weren't enough, you also have to astrally project fairly often.

This is the second game I've ever played that shows children getting killed. At one point I saw two children running from aliens(?), a boy and a girl. The girl was shot to death, then her ghost resurrected, then the girl's ghost grabbed the little boy and impaled him on a giant spike sticking out of a wall. I did not expect that, I'll admit. I got a screenshot though that I'll post eventually in the screenshots thread.

This game is crazzzzy but mostly in positive ways.

Yeah Prey is pretty awesome but it is down right brutal at time. Definitely not a game to play if you don't like gore or really tragic scenes(people get tortured/mutilated in front of you a lot). Really sad that the sequel got kicked around the way it did still not sure if it will ever get released.

I really love the games music to I think of it every time I hear The Reaper on the radio .

Yeahhh this game is hardcore gory. There was one scene where this guy was praying to Jesus to be saved and then a robotic machine brutally stabbed him over and over and then mashed into him bloody paste. Then a woman was loaded into the machine and she started screaming and I knew what was coming so I just got out of there after that.

I laughed out loud at one scene where Heart was playing on a jukebox and the aliens where like "what's this crap?" and changed the disc over to Judas Priest and started head banging. Also getting beamed up to the mothership with Blue Oyster Cult blasting in the background was just awesome.
