Rewatched "Rob Zombie's Halloween".

Ok, so Stephen Lack didn't exactly give a great performance, though his kinda drugged-out and almost nonchalant reading of the lines was better than the acting in The Brood. And, as has happened in every movie I have ever seen Michael Ironside in, I thought he was great. But the whole psychic warfare...oh man, I loved it. I absolutely loved it.
I knew you'd like it. My mom and I talked about who would be pitched to act in the remake, if they ever got to do one... not that I want a remake, though

I never saw Scanners in its entirety. I mean, I have it on my PC, but I've only seen less than half of it on IFC before.vejita wrote:Ack wrote:And I just watched Cronenberg's Scanners. But... if I could decide, I'd... not remake it. I'd re-imagine it.

Just saw Gran Torino the other night, and it was amazing.

Saw the new Underworld movie on Friday. It was pretty good. Saw Frost/Nixon on Sunday. It was excellent.
The acting in Frost Nixon is some of the best I've seen, and I've seen a LOT of movies, since my family was in the movie rental business. Frost/Nixon has got to be one of the best movies I've come across.

Gran Torino was entertaining but hardly groundbreaking. Valkyrie was better than I ever expected it to be (could have used an extra hour to flesh out the motives behind each character). Finally, Burn After Reading was utterly pointless

I just watched the 1979 version of Salem's Lot. For a TV production, it was actually better quality than I expected. Not perfect, but in my opinion it made for a much better rendition of vampires than any Anne Rice novel.

I finished Brazil for the first time last night. My Gods why haven't I seen that movie before?!?! Absolutely incredible. I have seen The Brothers Grimm and I liked the way Gilliam directed, but I hadn't seen anything until I saw Brazil. Next I'm going to try the "Love Conquers All" version, perhaps at a party this weekend.

So I just watched Videodrome, which was probably the second weirdest movie I've ever watched. It was just bizarre, no other way around it.
