Re: Video Pinball
My grand idea of rotating the ouya output by 90degrees via software did not work. So I am moving on to installing Cyanogen mod 13 and Kitkat so it will work. Sadly there is no data on if the CM13 Ouya can run pinball, but we will find out this weekend.

Re: Video Pinball
Sorry for not reading the thread, but I know very little of pinball so I wanted to ask. I want to look into The Pinball Arcade because I want to play classic tables and educate myself a bit more into pinball but I don't know what should I look for or if there's any portable version that is worth it.
Thoughs?

So wish my PS3/Vita PBA purchases were cross-buy towards the PC version. Playing the tables in hi-res portrait mode is delightful.

Yeah, I had the Droid vers of Pinball Arcade on my Shield, but never wanted to buy tables for it, cuz I felt like I'd prefer owning them on PC.s1mplehumar wrote:So wish my PS3/Vita PBA purchases were cross-buy towards the PC version. Playing the tables in hi-res portrait mode is delightful.
But my Win8 tablet arrived today... so now I'll only have to purchase the PC version of tables and can share them with my 'portable'.

Download the title on your android or iOS device and give it a go, it comes with one free table - 1996's brilliant Tales of Arabian Nights. I say try it because you might start playing it on a touch screen and realize you hate it and want real buttons, which moves on to another set of questions. The only issues is that all the tables you buy are not cross compatible (meaning if you buy them on the PC you have to rebuy them on Android). How I have worked around that is by buying seasons passes on PC and buying Android tables whenever I have enough credit saved up from the reward program that Google has for surveys. So I have Seasons 1-3 on PC (bought on steam sales), and 9 tables on Android (they do sales where $5 tables drop to $1 for a day or for a couple hours).
It is a very easy way to get into 70s-90s pinball. No muss, no fuss, plenty of coconuts.

So work around to get Zaccaria pinball on PC, and play any Android tables you have purchased.
There is a hot to trot android emulator called Bluestacks:
http://www.bluestacks.com/
By using a guide like this one:
You can enable Play store inside Bluestacks. Meaning you can play many Android only programs on your PC. On my laptop, everything played in slow mode (it was a budget model in 2010, but I got it for free in 2013), but on my desktop it runs fine most of the time. Some tables crash - Time Machine, but most run fine with the only issue being you have to use the mouse for the plunger.

Got around to downloading the 500mb update for Season 4 on PS3/Vita. Phantom of the Opera! I'm resigning myself to individual table purchases since my gaming time is way down with a little one. This and Bram Stoker's Dracula are the only tables I've purchased of late.

Cyclone is up next for Pinball Arcade, some time next week. Nothing like creepy clowns to get you to play pinball about a rollercoaster:

Best flipper placement ever.

No Vita cross buy yet (Vita's season 4 upgrade hasn't been released?). Hmm.retrosportsgamer wrote:Got around to downloading the 500mb update for Season 4 on PS3/Vita. Phantom of the Opera! Adams Family is definitely my next buy. Supposedly this week?
