What was the last movie you've seen?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

The Prowler has some of Savini's best work. (Along w/ Maniac).

I think the combination of how the actors play their villains in both Maniac and The Prowler along with the gore of Savini's work is really what makes both films stand out. I still think the shotgun head explosion is the greatest thing Savini ever did, but that bayonet through the head, and then sticking the showering woman with a pitchfork...amazing.

It is also a very important early technicolor film, which is part of why it looks so amazing. A lot of marketing played up the fact that it looked like the illustrations in classic Robin Hood storybooks or that it was second only to rainbows themselves in its beauty. I adore the look of this film and it really is a great film on its technical merits alone. Stuff like the deer scene are just icing on the cake :)
I grew up on Adventures of Robin Hood and it remains my favorite, with Men in Tights coming in second. One fun fact about AoRH is that all those scenes of people getting shot with arrows was actually real people getting shot with real arrows (they had blocks of wood under their tunic so as not to die).

Adventures of Robin Hood is probably my favorite Errol Flynn movie, but has one of my least favorite Robin Hood-related soundtracks.
Prince of Thieves is probably my second favorite Kevin Costner movie, but one of my least favorite Morgan Freeman movies. It gets bonus points for Bryan Adams
Men in Tights is not one of my favorite Mel Brooks films, but it is probably my favorite Richard Lewis movie. It gets bonus points for Dave Chapelle.
Ridley Scott as Director: cool. Russel Crowe as English: lol.

All this leaves me very confused about how to rank Robin Hood movies.

Great film. I am glad you enjoyed it.

I watched this in October, and I was pleasantly surprised with this film. I know that some other members will disagree (e.g., Noise), but I thought it was a lot better than its franchise-spawning contemporaries (e.g., Friday the 13th).

It's funny how 80s nostalgia is bleeding into 90s nostalgia for some, including me  Bruce Willis as the reluctant bodyguard never gets old.

Not a movie, but I recently rewatched "RENT: Filmed Live on Broadway", though it was in theaters as part of Sony Picture's Hot Ticket, which meant it was broadcasted live in select theaters.
