Major issue is still one I have with a lot of motion controlled games, that being a feeling that where you're aiming and where your blows land are not the same place. It's not gamebreaking though.
Love Dragon Quest.

Hate that game.

Horrendous controls mainly. Using the Wiimote to navigate and battle was odd, the game was just begging for a nunchuk.

I dunno, the entire time I played it I just kept thinking "I could be playing Dragon Quest IV instead..."

It was... okay... I guess.

When it was released kids, including myself, flipped out. The advertisements for it were everywhere. You actually had a chance to play the biggest arcade hit, with two new levels, with a friend, in your own house.

Plus you got a free personal pan pizza (marketing term for very tiny pizza). I still have the original box and manual from when I/my parents bought it.

It is like the arcade game, but completely different. But as kids we didn't care as anything that remotely resembled the arcade game drove us to hysteria.

Still playing GTAIV. Still need to modify the controls as I don't like 'em.

Played NHL '09 using classic controls. These controls are also screwed up as the classic controls use three buttons, not two.

I was always disappointed by TMNT II for NES. I mean, it was alright, but the whole thing just felt off. I'm not expecting the arcade game here, but you couldn't just pound on enemies non-stop, the invincibility period for the Foot Soldiers pretty much guaranteed that you couldn't without whiffing the next hit and taking a shot in the face.

No, you had to abuse that weird jumping slash attack which did 4 HP of damage vs. the 2 of a slash and 3 of a jump kick (the Foot had 4).

Thing is, I don't know why they didn't make it like a traditional beat-'em-up in that regard. It's not like other games on the system didn't let you do consecutive hits.

TMNT III has the same problem, but it also gives you the neat super attacks and a throw-style move that works wonders.

Nothing will compare to you and three others standing around the arcade cabinet, pooling your quarters trying to beat the game... I don't think there's a single arcade within a hundred miles of where I live.

Yeah the NES version definitely won't go down as one of my favorite games. It's funny too, because I went NUTS over the first game! Played it constantly and loved it, was a huge turtles fan as a kid.

Now I'm playing Double Dragon II for the NES. I'm enjoying it more than TMNT 2 at least...

That's probably because it is a drastically better game.

EDIT: Is Double Dragon II the NES's best beat-em-up? RCR is geat and all, but I am having a hard time coming up with any thing better...

Playing Suikoden for the first time. Hopefully it'll be the first PS1 RPG i've ever fully completed. Really enjoying it so far. I'm about 4 hours in and just killed the Zombie Dragon.

Also really digging some of the relaxing tracks in this game.
Suikoden - Seika Theme

That PS1 cover art though...

Suikoden is an amazing game! I played through it last year for Together RPG and found it to be quite the treat!
