May be BB gets them sooner, but on Gamestop and a few other sites I keep seeing 2/25, so I am guessing that is wave 2 of shipment.

I can see why the limited editions sold out, still can't believe I got an MM thru Target.com that Friday.

But why are the red and black sold out? My walmart had 5 and those are all gone and I know my local gamestop is out as well. Surely there wasn't many parents that bought their kids the n3dsxl.

Got some screen protectors on my MM xl today, was successful in getting them on with no dust or bubbles, cant even tell they are on there. Im just being cautious since the other models were prone to getting marks on the top screen when the system was closed.

In other news, I just got back from Wal Mart getting Majoras Mask, and ALL 3ds/2ds units were sold out. They had 3 copies of MM, and were also sold out of Monster Hunter.

Yup that's a design flaw they just don't seem to care to deal with for some reason. I'll let the conspiracy nuts have fun with that one.

I learned back with the original DS they do that so I started folding a glasses wipe rag in half between the two panels so when it closes they never bump or rub and I've kept scratch free all these years thanks to it.

Am I the only one who has never experienced that? I've never used screen protectors at all and I have never had a single scratch on either the top or bottom screens. I mean, is this even a genuine problem with DS/3DSs? I've heard about it before, but I've taken the risks and never experienced any problems...

Yeah, I have never had a screen scratch on any of the DS/3DS models I have owned. I never put them in my pocket or anything and store them in a travel bag/case, so maybe they are fine if you dont put any weight or pressure on them. I can see how they could get messed up in a pocket.

That's exactly why. If you put any pressure on them at all like a tighter case or within a pocket it happens. The way Nintendo has it is there are a few rubber bumpers around the edges on the various models, but around where the screen is on top it's a flat surface. The bottom panel though isn't totally flat and around where the smaller screen and where the thumb stick on the left pop up they're slightly higher than the rest of the panel and they will rub into the top screen.

I keep my system usually in a zipper pouch that holds a few games, or in a normal pouch like that red/gray club nintendo one they sold with coins and either of them can cause scratches from being in the zipper case or the pouch in my pocket. Ever since I put that thin rag in there, problem solved. I think if Nintendo had made the bottom panel recessed where the screens, sticks and buttons are below the level of the plate it wouldn't be an issue but I know that space is a premium in that small area.

Yes it is a real issue, my original 3ds has it bad, 2 vertical lines on the top screen, impossible to miss and very distracting. My first xl started to get it in one side very faintly. With my link between worlds xl and now my mm xl I am not taking the chance of permanently damaging the screen.

Yep, it's real. My original 3DS had that problem. Fortunately, the 3DS XL became available around the time that I noticed that it was starting to develop the marks on the top screen and I decided to trade it in for the XL before it got any worse.

On another note, I caved and got a New 3DS XL today. Traded my old XL for it at Gamestop. The employee was kind enough to let me do my system transfer in the store since it wasn't very busy. GEEZ that is a painful process!

That said, I haven't had a chance to actually play a game on the system yet but I was impressed with what I have seen of the unit so far.

I know that transfer for me was probably an hour and a half which just sucked. Wifi, maybe 5-10 feet from the router and the systems side by side. My card though is fairly loaded between most of the 3D Nintendo and 3 Sega releases, the ambassador stuff and the DKCR freebie platinum from last year. Still though I think it's kind of unfair making maybe a 3GB wifi transfer move that slowly.

I got Shin Megami Tensei IV today, very different atmosphere than I'm used to. Also it's pretty damn uncool to set the game up on hard difficulty from the start and just beat you to death in just 1-2 hits. It's a little less nasty when I downed it, but still it's ugly.

Maybe it's just a sadist game to start until you can bank a few levels killing junk just in the training area before proceeding to finding the item in Naraku area 2 after the 2 basic first quests? At least I got the LE guide to have some maps of the areas.
