That's when you dip into the Russian alphabet with a series of imports.
1976-2015 inclusive is juuuuust short of what the standard alphabet + 0-9 would give you....

I was just gonna see if you wanted it and try to do a trade for some YPbPr modding goodness on one of my working ones (despite the fact that I know you feel it's not good enough)...

But I'll continue hanging onto it on the "Pile o' stuff I might eventually fix" with my Sega CD, Dreamcast, at least 1 frontloader, a few 2600 sticks...
Ah, the YPbPr mod... Why'd you have to remind me? You'd feel the same if you've wasted that much money on it. The bitch of it is I was ::this close:: to getting the colors perfect.

But yeah, I have a pile of stuff too. I really need to start going through that.

Dave, I concur with Brad and Dave.

Here's some help for you:

A - 1976 - Amazing Maze - http://www.mobygames.com/game/amazing-maze
When not having a human opponent around it's also possible to play against an AI. When playing against the AI the game goes on until the player has lost three games. For each new maze the AI speed increases.
B - 1977 - Battle Shark - http://www.mobygames.com/game/battle-shark
One of Nintendo's last 16mm film-based arcade games, Battle Shark puts you out at sea trying to take down a torpedo boat, which is drawing nearer. If you're good enough a shooter, the boat will explode. The game lasts 70 seconds, and if you score at least 8 points, you'll win a free game.
C - 1978 - Cosmic Conflict - http://www.mobygames.com/game/cosmic-conflict
From a first person perspective, the player must destroy fifteen enemy ships...The mission ends when all enemy ships are destroyed or when all the ship's fuel is used.
From there you are into 1979 (where I started) and it should be gravy to find beatable games (especially since text games get going around that time).

Half the fun for me is digging out my oldest hardware and dusting off some games in my collection/backlog that I haven't beaten. Resorting to emulation or buying games specifically for this isn't in the cards. Anyhow, that's the last I'll say about it.

fair enough, we're just providing some good-natured ribbing. Anyone who digs into games from the 70s and early 80s is A-OK in my book.

For me the Alphabet marathon was all about jumping into games from my own collection I've not gotten around to, so going by year aswell wasn't something for me (although at 26 years old, it would have been cool to do a game each year from 1988 to 2014). I definitely can appreciate the take some of you guys have on it though, and it's interesting to read about games I'd never have played otherwise, even if I generally don't play much from pre-1985.

That game is on my to play list, but I didn't play the predecessors on the Gamecube so not sure if which should I play first. Also, I can't justify the trilogy price for the Wii

Ugh, I impulse-bought Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon while it was on sale at Humble Bundle only to find it was U-Play only. I understand that I am to blame, but having that game U-Play only pisses me off. It's especially frustrating since there's U-Play titles on Steam. Eh, at least it's only four bucks.

I've been on an arcade kick hard for a couple months... but I want to get back to my roots. I have consoles looking to be modded.

But ApolloBoy's retired (for the most part), jinn's disappeared, Ziggy got out of the game a while back, RIP SnowKitty... all of my modders are gone!

Anyone want to do some YPbPr mods on a couple consoles? :D I got a guy who could do it, but he's in Quebec and I don't have my Canadian girlfriend anymore to help save on shipping costs, so I'm considering him a last resort...
