Haven't come close to finishing Psychic World. Actually I'm not sure if I've ever actually completed a Game Gear game.

Me either, although I actually owned a real Game Gear at one point years ago. I got pretty close to finishing Tails' Adventure and Sylvan Tale though.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Actually I'm not sure if I've ever actually completed a Game Gear game.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: What are you playing?
I'd love to own a consolized Game Gear or at least one with an AV out mod. The thing just feels like such a chore to play on. I also have Psychic World that I havn't ever gotten around to playing but it looks like a pretty good title. I somewhat grew up with the handheld. My brother owned one and I played Sonic on it. I think the oldest original game I own is clutch hitter for the Game Gear which had been tucked away in a drawer in my parents house for years. I also remember being jealous of this girl who used to bring hers on field trips and play batman on it.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Actually I'm not sure if I've ever actually completed a Game Gear game.

I just started playing Kid Dracula and I am SO HAPPY! Everything about this game is amazing for me, I'm almost sad that I'll have it beat tomorrow.

Re: What are you playing?
Bought a bunch of N64 carts recently (local auction lot) and Hexen was on top of the pile, so I went with that.
Is it me or is this game just plain fugly. Even by N64 standards.
The controls are absolute balls. You can hardly strafe for shit.
And jumping is an issue as well. You have no idea where your feet are.
There's backtracking required in the game (re-visiting areas and such). I don't particularly mind that, but the overall experience is just not much fun.
There's decent "atmosphere" to the whole thing but I'm not sticking around to see more of it.

Otomedius Excellent for about an hour and a half god this game is frustratingly hard for the first couple of play throughs. Just credit fed the shit out of it for one complete play through then went back and played it seriously for a couple of rounds only managed to get to stage 3 without popping credits. Overall not a bad shmup, but I'm just not interested in sinking a ton of time into it.
It is also perverted as hell
. Had this game for a while now it's definitely one of the weirdest games I have on my 360. Couldn't pass up the special edition for $14 shipped around Christmas though I mean how many games come with not only a sound track and artbook, but also a pillow case as well
.

Re: What are you playing?
Started next months together retro a bit early by popping in Quake 4. It's okay. Like other games of the period, it kind of suffers because it's caught between the older school and newer. It tries to do both at once but not really with any grace.
Also been playing Dragon Quest Swords, a Wii exclusive (I think) RPG/rail shooter hybrid. It is pretty fun actually, if a bit limited. Looks lovely as well. Major issue is still one I have with a lot of motion controlled games, that being a feeling that where you're aiming and where your blows land are not the same place. It's not gamebreaking though.

Re: What are you playing?
I've started game D of my alphabet marathon - Discworld. I have a feeling I'm going to have to resort to a guide quite a bit on this one - every puzzle is horrendously obtuse.
I've also gotten a headstart of game E of my alphabet marathon because it's a long one - Etrian Odyssey IV. I'm playing on normal and my team currently consists of a Fortress, Nightseeker, Dancer, Runemaster and Medic. I really wish I could use 6, because I'd like to fit a Landsknecht in there somewhere too. Maybe when I can subclass I can combine some of my other jobs and add a Landsknecht or add Landsknecht as a subclass.
I'm playing Pokémon Shuffle on 3DS aswell. It's a shameless smartphone game rip-off, but it's still kinda charming. I won't be spending any money on it, but it's good to pass some of my train journey each day.

Re: What are you playing?
I hope you stick to it and finish the game. The last area is extremely challenging and the final boss will just about break your arm battling it. As far as motion controlled games go, this was the toughest Wii game I've personally beat. Totally worth it for Fleurette though!Sload Soap wrote:Also been playing Dragon Quest Swords, a Wii exclusive (I think) RPG/rail shooter hybrid.

Re: What are you playing?
LOL. I bought this game brand new thinking it was going to be awesome. After paying for it, I was leaving store and saw a demo of it playing on the TV near the exit. I watched for about a minute, then promptly walked back to the cashier and returned it for Star Fox 64.Thierry Henry wrote:Bought a bunch of N64 carts recently (local auction lot) and Hexen was on top of the pile, so I went with that.
