I've been waiting for this game for so long.

Wish I got a demo code. If anyone still has one, I'd be in your debt! :)

I think it's up to publishers, not Nintendo.

I have been looking for a game like this for soo long, I remembered a buddy of mine used to play it a while back, glad I found this thread. Perhaps I will have to pick this up this year!

I really don't care for the Expeditions. The randomized map doesn't shake things up if the map is still arranged linearly. (I've only done 2 or 3 so far... maybe this changes eventually?)

I will hopefully be picking this up within the next day or two.

We need to get online meetups going for this, badly. Maybe even set up certain nights during the week, if people really get into it?

What weapon did you choose Opa? I'm still not sure what I will run with at first. I love me some GS, but it might be fun to try one of the new weapons.

Exclusively longsword for solo play. I'm okay with the trade-off of less raw damage and (initially) more sharpening for greater maneuverability. I'd probably pick something else for multiplayer though.

Well I finally died in a battle (a 3-star urgent quest).
Died twice actually in the fight with the giant spider. First time the boss poisoned me AND put me to sleep. I laid on the ground passed out and died of blood poisoning before I could get back up.

Second time was just carelessness on my part. I had a sliver of health and ran off to heal. Right before I drank the potion a wasp shot a projectile at me and I died right then and there. My goodness...

I did finish the quest but I'm pretty sure I didn't make any money on it. But whatever, you eventually wind up with more money than you can spend in these games.

Did everyone else pick up Majora's Mask or something? Guess I'll just keep replying to no one.

Currently about 20-ish hours in and just got
the airship built. I'll be going to the next area soon.
I switched up to Great Swords. I really got tired of the long swords bouncing off the enemy armor. The GS works great for most monsters but a few of them never stop moving. Although the jumping attacks on monsters do negate quite a bit of this advantage.

Oh, and the Gore Magala...
is not really hard at all. Most of his attacks are front swipes/hits so if you stay at his back/tail he'll rarely hit you. He is fast though; especially in frenzy mode.

I picked up both on release and believe it or not, Majora's Mask has not yet left the 3DS cartridge slot. Don't worry though, I've nearly completed it and then I will finally try out Monster Hunter 4
